"you wanted to talk so talk," I said.

"you're the last person to give us orders, you manipulative__ " Emily Alexander's sister said and I interrupted her and threatened "hey did you forget that you're in my house, so you better speak with respect or else."

Emily was about to talk again but her father held his hand and shut her up, before they could talk my phone rang I picked it up and it was jake, my husband, I answered it.

"baby," I said and everyone looked at me with wide eyes.

"Babe, hi how are you!" jake said.

"I'm fine, when are you coming back? Eleanor can't stop asking me that question," I said.

"yeah about that." Jake paused.

"I have to stay in Paris for another week," he answered.

"what why weren't you supposed to come back tomorrow," I said.

"yeah I know but in order to get everything we need to the labs I had to stay, I hope you're not mad at me," he said.

"Jake don't be stupid why would I be mad at you, everything you're doing to the labs is for me, and besides you get to have a break from Nick." I chuckled.

"Yeah, babe they're calling me to the meeting talk to you later?" Jake asked.

"yeah of course," I said.

"love you," Jake said.

"Love you too," I said.

I ended the call and looked up found everyone staring at me except Alexander his look was full of hurt.

"who was that?" Dominic asked.

"it was Jake, Jake Andrews, my husband," I answered.

"you're married?" Danielle asked.

I sighed and answered "yeah"

"I'm going to wash my face," I said, I went to the bathroom washed my face without looking in the mirror when I came back everyone stared at me, and I understood that my scar has appeared.

"oh my God, Natalie how did this happen?" my mom asked and touched my scar.

"the day of the accident a piece of glass literally entered my face," I said.

"Why didn't you make Facial plastic surgery?" Alexander asked.

"because.... it's none of your business." I said.

The doorbell rang and someone started to pound on the door, I went fast and opened it, Nick and Roman (our driver and Jake's best friend and Nick is Jake's brother.)

"what is it?" I asked and panic rose in me.

"one of the labs was set on fire," Nick said.

"WHAT," I said and started to panic.

but before I could do anything Roman said, "get dressed and follow us, we're going before you."

I went upstairs and wore a leather jacket then headed down and took my phone and called Jake.

"Tasha I __ " I interrupted Jake and said, "one of the labs was set on fire."

"what Tasha are you sure?" Jake asked

"yes, Nick and Roman told, I'm heading there," I answered.

"Mike get the private jet ready," Jake said.

I ended the call and headed out and remembered that Roman went in the car.

"could this night get any worse?" I said.

"We can go in my car, " Alexander said.

I tried to count my options but I found none so I headed towards Alexander's car and entered it, I gave him the direction.

we got there and I saw the firefighters, I started running toward the lab but then suddenly there was a hand wrapped around my waist and pulled me back.

"let me go," I said and tried to get free.

"Tasha are you crazy, you're gonna get yourself killed," Nick said.

I tried to get free again and succeed but before I get there Nick pulled me again and the lab exploded and I closed my eyes when I opened them again nick was on top of me, he shielded me with his body, I shook him, and he got up.

5 hours have passed and I was still on shock, my family kept their distance so no one would notice anything, Nick and Roman tried to calm me down.

"Tasha please Calm down," Nick said.

"Nick, the formula is gone, this formula could have saved thousands no not thousands, millions of lives and now it's gone." I snapped.

"Tasha." I heard Jake screaming my name, and I headed toward him without thinking and he pulled me in his embrace and that was my breaking point I cried so hard.

"I was so scared and the formula is gone," I said.

"Shhh, it's gonna be okay," Jake said.

Jake took me with him and helped me sit down on the ambulance bed so they could examine my bruises.

after checking on me I sat on the bed and stayed like that, Jake came and took my face in his hands and touched my scar.

"we'll find who did this and we'll make them pay," Jake said.

"promise?" I asked.

"promise, " he said and kissed my forehead, I closed my eyes, then he pulled me in a hug, when I opened my eyes I saw my family, dad had a suspicious look on Jake, my mom has softened while looking at me, Dominic had my dad's look and Danielle she looked jealous as usual, but Alexander he looked hurt, hurt a lot and I realized I can't be here anymore.

"can we go home, I don't think I can be here anymore, I want to rest, " I said to Jake.

"Sure, I'll go get the car," Jake said and went to get the car and I searched for Nick and found him on an ambulance bed too, I headed toward him, and put my hand on his arm.

"hey, Nick I wanted to say thank you for shielding me, " I said.

"you're welcome, and besides, you're my little brother's wife of course I'll protect you," he said

an arm wrapped around my waist, I knew it was Jake without looking.

"honey come on, the car is ready, " Jake said and helped me get in the car and he started driving.

we got home and Jake helped me climb the stairs and put me on the bed and laid down on the bed he pulled me in a hug.

"Everything is gonna be fine, just rest, " Jake said.

I went to sleep so fast and my daily nightmare started.

"look out," I screamed, then everything went in a blink of an eye the car crash, screams, getting pulled from the car.

I woke up gasping and sweating and searched for Jake, when I looked around me I saw a shadow and screamed but my scream was muffled by the hand on my mouth and I felt cold metal on the back of my head, a gun.
