AUTHOR'S POV

Damien was outside the main hall when he spotted the messenger slipping through the east gate. The boy moved fast, his head low, trying not to attract attention. But Damien’s eyes were sharper than that of an eagle, nothing slipped past him when he was on edge—and lately, he was always on edge.

He strode across the court, his eyes following the boy like a predator surveiling its prey. "Hey," he called out.

The boy froze mid-step.

“I'm calling you,” Damien said again.

The messenger turned slowly. A scrawny kid, barely fifteen, with a dust-streaked tunic and ink-stained fingers. He clutched his satchel tight to his chest like it was his own heart he was protecting.

Damien looked at the satchel then at him. This was the boy they usually send to Fein when he was on his mission ro spy on the Lycans.

“Where are you going?” He demanded.

The boy swallowed hard. “The Alpha sent me,” he finally said.

“Sent you?” Damien's face went pale. He never discussed anything with Raven

  • She's the Alpha    Traitors?

KAI’S POVThe morning light hadn’t even broken through the trees when I got word that Raven wanted to see me. It didn’t sound urgent, but something in the way the message was delivered — clipped, cold, no details — told me it wasn’t casual either.I made my way to the camp, greetings s few of the sentinels before making my way to her tent, where Damien was already inside, sitting on a crate. Immediately I walked in, his eyes hardened. Looks like he hated the fact that I was here but good thing for him, he didn't argue. Raven stood up with her arms crossed, her sharp and dark eyes scanning my body. Her whole body was tense, like a bow pulled too tight. She didn’t waste time. “The gamma's a traitor,” she said.My breath caught. “What?”“We followed him and we found him talking to some Lycans. He was feeding them information about the camp.”I looked from her to Damien. Damien gave me a silent nod. “You’re sure?”“We’re sure,” she said, jaw clenched. “He’s working with them. Crazy is

  • She's the Alpha    To trap a traitor.

RAVEN’S POVDamien grabbed my arm just as I stepped forward. I turned to him with a death glare. “Don’t,” he whispered sharply, holding me back. His hand was tight on my arm, grounding me. “Not now.”“I need to—” I started, my voice low and tight with anger, but he shook his head.“You can’t, Raven. Not here. And definitely not now.”I looked back toward the tree where he stood — our Gamma. The man I trusted more than anyone outside my war circle. He was supposed to be on our side. He was like my father's best friend and that was why I made him retain his position. How could he do this to me? I trusted and respected him but he turned out to be a snack. My heart beat hard in my chest, and I couldn’t breathe properly. My fingers curled into fists. “He betrayed me,” I said, my voice shaking. “He betrayed all of us.”“I know,” Damien said quietly. “But we can’t act on that yet.”I turned to him, eyes wide. “Why not? He’s a traitor! We just heard him! He’s working with the Lycans—”“I kn

  • She's the Alpha    The traitor

RAVEN’S POV. The fire had burned low, casting flickering shadows across the camp. Most people were asleep now, or at least pretending to be.I stood beside Damien at the edge of the clearing, watching everything in the camp covered slowly by night. Soldiers murmured in low voices. A few pairs of eyes glowed in the low light, reflecting the flames as they sat sharpening weapons or chewing on whatever was left from dinner.Damien nudged me lightly with his elbow. “You’ve been watching them for hours.”I didn’t respond immediately. My eyes were on the war team—Lana, Marlow, Corwin, and Gale. They were part of the five of them people I had been planning the war with, their heads bent close, speaking too softly for anyone else to hear.“Something about them feels… off,” I finally said.“They’re trying so hard not to melt under your gaze,” Damien replied. “Everyone is scared of you. So don't think too much.”That was the more reason I had I had to think too much. Everyone was scared of me

  • She's the Alpha    About the prophecy.

KAI'S POV. I stood inside the river, shirtless, my eyes fixed on my arms or should I say —- my curse. I inhaled deeply, letting the cold wind brush past me hoping it will take away all my worries but it didn't. In fact it made things worse. Everyone will die eventually. But I didn't, st least not now but after seeing my brother today and that smirk on his face before he disappeared into thin air scent a shiver down my spine. My brother was definitely planning something and that was the prophecy started coming through. And I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared. I was scared if death —- not because I still had so many things to do or because I was too young. It was the fear of losing Raven or dying in vain. Just the thought alone was enough to shake my being. I have done so much to lose it because some prophecy wants me dead. I was far better than that. A sudden movement behind me broke me from my endless abyss. “I didn't think you will actually come,” I said with a smile as

  • She's the Alpha    Second phase of war

RAVEN'S POVThe sky was a dull grey when I woke up, as if it already knew what the day would bring. Today was another war day.We have been planning for this day for a while and it was very draining considering that I was the only one making plans but nothing cut deeper than the silence from Damien.I had tried to talk to him—twice today but he looked right through me like I wasn’t even there. And he has been doing that for the past two weeks now. Today I thought it was going to be different because today was the war day but I was wrong. It wasn't any different from me, in fact it got worse. Damien didn't just ignore me he walked past me like I was no one. I was really mad that I felt like jumping on him and pulling off his head. He of all people should understand that I hated anything close to Draven and he just happened to start a relationship with my worst enemy. Still, I told myself I would find him in the war and give him a good talk. And it was going to be a long talk. The s

  • She's the Alpha    Betrayal in the blood.

Kai's POVZeke and I trudged back toward the camp, side by side in silence. Zeke and I had followed the deserters, trying to force answers out of their mouths but they were as useless as Zeke's dick. So I killed them. “Hell of a night,” he muttered.“Depends on who you are speaking for.”He chuckled once, then winced. “I thought we were gone for a second back there. That flank almost swallowed us whole.”“The flank almost swallowed “you” whole,” I corrected. Zeke was dumb but I didn't think he was this dumb. Why did he keep using the wrong pronoun? But all in all Zeke was intelligent when it comes to strategy and he was a good fighter. That's the only reason I still let him walk with me. “No one asked you to come,” I continued, pulling off my shirt. “You could have stayed back.”“And miss out on all the fun? No, thank you.”We went silent for a while and that was mostly because I did. He looked over at me, half a grin on his face. “That last-minute switch-up... It was genius. The
