Chapter 14 - The Truth

Karalee's P.O.V.

Where am I? I must be dreaming. That's the only explanation for why I'm looking at my parents. I rub my eyes, and they're still there.

"Hi, Karalee." When my mom speaks, I scream, but they don't react.

"Where am I? Am I dead?" If I'm not dreaming, I have to be dead. Did Polly trick us and kill me?

"No, you're not dead, and you're not dreaming. Your father and I are dead, but we're able to speak to you through your subconscious. You're still on Liam's lap in your apartment. Time on Earth is slower than it is here, so when you wake up, so to speak, it will seem as though only seconds have passed rather than minutes." I can't believe this is actually happening. I start crying as I stare at them. It's my fault they're dead.

"I'm so sorry I got you killed. You would never have left the house if I had stayed in bed that night." I sob into my hands. When I feel them hugging me, I'm shocked. How can I feel them if this is my subconscious?

    Karalee's P.O.V.After eating at my favorite steak house, Benji and Mason drop us off at my apartment. I signed a ton of autographs at dinner and took pictures with fans.
