"Oh! My gosh it's him." What is he doing here? Is he a freshman too? He was surrounded by a group of guys, they noticed he wasn't listening to what they were saying, they all looked in the direction he was looking at and soon, they were all staring at me.

"What did you say?" Sam thought I was talking to her.

"Nothing." I said and shook my head.

They were still staring at me and talking amongst themselves. I turned around and grind myself against Sam.

Oh! The alcohol was starting to kick in.

I flipped my hair from side to side as Sam twerked and danced wildly. A guy appeared in front of Sam and started to dance with her and I was left to dance alone.

Someone tapped me on my shoulder and when I turned to look. It was him, he was standing right in front of me.

"Hey, remember me?" He asked loudly, I could hear him clearly, he was standing close to me, too close.

He was invading my personal bubble.

""Who are you?" I asked, pretending not to remember him.

"Your asswipe, silly." He has started again with his rude and ugly attitude.

I formed an oh with my mouth.

"It's you, I remember. I thought I'd never see your face again."

"What? You got a problem with my face?" He asked rudely as he stared down at me like I was an ant he could crush under his feet.

That's it, this guy has really tested my patience enough.

"Has no one ever taught you about good manners and how to talk to people politely?"

"What?" He asked, surprised.

I was glad I was able to bring out other reactions from him and not his usual cocky self.

"You know, you're hot and all but your attitude sucks real bad." I told him and brushed past him to pull Sam away from the guy she was dancing with.

"Hey, let's go." I said as I pulled her along with me.

"Was that Ryker Lynn you were just talking to?" Sam asked me.

Oh! His name is Ryker.

"You know him?"

"Everyone knows Ryker."

"But you just got to school today." I said as I opened the door of the club and we stepped outside. Cool breeze blew on us and it was refreshing.

"I have an elder sister here, I stayed with her some weeks ago. He's one of the super hottest and richest guys at school. How did you know him?"

I explained everything that has happened between Ryker and I to Sam.

"I didn't know he was that arrogant." Sam said as she took off her heels and walked barefooted. I stared at her as she walked.

"What? Take it off too, it's ten o'clock, no one is watching us."

My legs were sore from the heels already, so I used her shoulder as support and removed the heels. Walking barefooted felt so good.

If Dylan was here, he would have ranted on and on about how it was unladylike to walk barefooted.

Ryker's POV

I parked my bike at the side of the street near two girls, one was tall and talking to the short one who typed away on her phone. She reminds me of the girl I met yesterday but she couldn't be the one. I looked away from them and went inside the club, it was a little bit crowded tonight. I pushed through all the sweaty bodies and walked straight to the bartender.

"The usual." I said and gave him a tip.

He gave me the drink, I took it and walked towards my usual table. It was always reserved for my friends and I. They were already seated when I got there. I greeted and shook hands with them before sitting down.

"My father wants me to start learning the operations of the company." Brandon said. He was the richest in our group, his father has about three companies in three different countries.

"But I'm not ready yet, I wanna have a little bit more fun before I start working."

Brandon was still talking when I noticed a familiar face dancing in the crowd. It was the girl in the rain, the one who accused me of stealing her peanut butter.

She was even prettier than she was yesterday, or maybe I hadn't noticed she was pretty because I didn't pay much attention to her. She swayed her hips and moved to the beat.

"Dude, what are you looking at?" Felix asked when he noticed I was no longer paying attention to what they were saying.

They all looked in the direction I was staring at and saw her. She noticed we were staring at her, she said something to her friend then turned her back to us and continued dancing.

"Huh! She's pretty." Felix said, nodding his head.

"Yeah. She's probably a freshman. Dude, do you know her?" Chad asked.

"I met her at some place yesterday," I said, still watching her. A guy started to dance with her friend, she's alone now.

"Guys, I'll be right back." I said as I stood from my seat and went to meet her.

I tapped her shoulder and she turned to look at me.

"Hey, remember me?" I asked her.

"Who are you?" I knew she was only pretending not to know me. My face is not the type you easily forget.

"Your asswipe, silly." I said to her, A look of annoyance crossed her face but it went as quickly as it came.

Her red stained lips formed an oh and I couldn't help but stare at them.

"It's you. I remember. Never thought I'd see your face again." Was she kidding me? I'm literally popular on campus. Does she really not know who I am or is she just pretending. I know she'll have heard about me from people on campus, even if she was a freshman.

She probably approached me on purpose at the mall yesterday. I didn't know she was a student here.

"What? You got a problem with my face?" I asked her rudely. She looked like she'd had enough of me. She stopped dancing, and looked up at me squarely and said,

"Has no one ever taught you about good manners and how to talk to people politely?"

"What?" I asked, as I stared down at her, surprised.

"You know, you're hot and all but your attitude sucks real bad." She said and brushed past me, she pulled her friend with her and they walked out of the club.

No one has ever spoken to me like that, ever.

I was angry as I went back to my seat with my friends. I felt like a fool, a girl has never spoken to me that way before, they were either smitten by my looks and tongue tied or they'll just agree to whatever I say.

"Dude, you okay?" Brandon asked as I sat down.

"That girl just made a fool out of me." I said angrily.

"Relax man. It's just a girl." Chad said.

"Hey, I have an idea guys." Brandon said as he moved closer to us in his seat.

"And what's that?"

"Let's play a game, the usual one."

When he said the usual one, we understood what he meant. Everything semester, we do play a game, a betting game

We'll spin a bottle and whoever the bottle points at has to do what the bet requires.

We all agreed to play the game. Brandon placed an empty bottle on the table between us and spun it. It rolled and rolled and finally it stopped and pointed at me.

"Ahh, good!" Brandon exclaimed. He folded his and began to think about the bet he'll give me.

"Be quick, dude." I said to him, the others at the table were also waiting and wondering what he would say.

"Okay, okay. Let's place a bet on that girl, the one you went to meet just now." Brandon said with a devilish smirk. I knew that was what he was going to say.

"Make her fall in love with you and then tell her it's a bet when she has fallen for you."

The rest at the table waited for my response.

"Well, I accept it. I will make her fall for me." I agreed.

"But don't you ever fall in love with her." Brandon warned.

"I won't, it isn't the first time we are betting, anyways." I smirked at him. I never lose a bet, the guys know that. And this one will be the same.

"Guys, I gotta go." I said to the guys. I rose from my seat and walked out of the club. I moved to my bike and wore my helmet. The bike roared back to life as I started it, I turned around and raced down the street. I hadn't gone far when I noticed two girls walking down the street barefooted with their heels in their hands.

I moved closer to them slowly and saw that one of them was her. I smirked when the both of them looked back and noticed I had slowed down behind them.

They looked frightened when they saw that I was following them. They screamed and started to run down the street. I couldn't help but laugh at their actions. I continued my journey and ignored them when I raced past them.

Girl in the rain, I'm coming for you.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked when he guided me through the dance floor and started walking towards the entrance of the clubhouse. My vision was still blurry and I was still drunk."Somewhere I can talk to you." He answered. "But I don't wanna talk to you, remember?" I told him "I'm not going with you, Sam is still inside." I tried to free myself from his grip."She can go home by herself. I'm not letting you go until I talk to you." "And you think I'm just gonna follow you and listen to whatever you wanna say. I'm not Bruno. I don't wanna listen to anything you have to say. You are just going to lie to me again." I said. We were already outside the club house and I saw that his car was parked on the other side of the road.Ryker opened the door for me and made me enter the car. Then he buckled me up before shutting the door and walking to the other side of the car.He entered the car and started to drive. He took off his cap and mask and that was when I saw that Dylan did a re

The clubhouse was crowded as usual, loud music, sweaty bodies and people making out in dark corners. Sam and I made our way through the crowd and found a spot to sit in front of the bar, drinks weren’t free today. I guess someone paid for all the drinks the last time we came here. I had a shot of tequila but Sam didn’t drink anything, she said she was going to watch over me so I could drink as much as I liked.“Hey, let’s dance.” I told her as I pulled her to the dance floor, the alcohol was starting to kick in. I swung my body to the beat while Sam did the same.“Shea?” I heard someone call my name, I looked back and saw that it was Felix. Why the heck did he call me? Did Ryker send him to beg me?“Hey.” I said nonchalantly and continued to dance.“Look, Ryker didn’t mean what he did, he already called off the bet when he realized how he feels about you.” He shouted over the music.“Do you mind? I don’t wanna talk about that.” I said as I rolled my eyes at him.“Back off!” Sam said a

As I stepped into the bathtub filled with warm water, I sat down and let the water soothe my skin, I closed my eyes so I could relax but then it suddenly felt like I couldn't breathe, like something was blocking my nose, like I was drowning. The memory of myself, struggling in the pool flashed through my mind. It was traumatizing.I opened my eyes and gasped for breath. I got down from the bathtub. I couldn't do it. Cassie had scarred me for life, I would never be able to have baths again, or even learn how to swim.I grabbed a towel, wrapped it around myself and walked out of the bathroom. I went straight to my closet and grabbed a shirt and shorts to wear."Shea, you didn't stay long in the bathroom this time." I heard Sam say. I turned to her and saw that she looked excited. She was excited that I didn't stay long and cry in the bathroom this time. If she knew what happened to me there, she wouldn't smile like that. But I smiled at her and covered my fears up. "Yeah." I said as I w

“Holy shit! I can’t believe it.” Sam exclaimed as sat on my bed and rubbed my back. I had told her everything I encountered in school today and she regretted telling me to go out with Ryker.“I was just a bet, a stupid bet.” I sniffed. I wanted to cry but the tears wouldn’t come out no matter how hard I squeezed my eyes. I guessed I had emptied my tear sac. I was tired, physically, emotionally and mentally tired.“And- and Jasmine, I don’t blame you for hating her. She was just a snitch for her psycho sister.” I said in a low voice.“I never liked that bitch. I knew there was something shady going on around her. And we should throw those people in jail.” Sam said as she rose from the bed and stood in front of me. I liked how she was taking this more seriously than I was.“I’ve actually thought about that on the way here. But Laurel told me her dad could easily bail her out, so it would be a waste of time.” I told her. Laurel also said that she had a huge fight with Cassie because of J

Ryker’s POVShit!I had been screwed by Cassie. She told Shea about the bet before I had the chance to tell her myself. I never wanted to hurt Shea. I just wanted to give her more time to heal from what she was going through. I had plans to take her out on another date, to tell her how much I loved and cherished her and then eventually tell her about the bet. But Cassie ruined everything.I ran out of the pool area to go after Shea, but she was already getting into a car. I knew it was Laurel’s car.I didn’t know what to do. Should I go after Laurel’s car so I could talk to Shea? Or should I give her some time? I honestly don’t know which is better.I slowly walked back to my car and got in. I hit my hands on the steering wheel multiple times and yelled my lungs out.“Fuck!” I yelled again. I groaned as pain soothed through my hands, but it was nothing compared to the pain Shea was going through right now. She called me a monster. She was right, I was a monster. I should have never ag
