Catherine's POV

My heart thumped like a drum as I dashed towards Lucas, feeling like I was in a dream. Today was beyond belief, a mix of nerves and excitement swirling insanely inside me. It was insane, but I had to keep it together, even though my insides had been tied in thousands of knots as I had watched Lucas from the crowd, the usually so steady and calm man, had looked like a bundle of nerves in the crowd. I wondered why he would decline his special guest seat to sit amongst the spectators and watch me.

"Red..." His voice reached me as I reached the door, and despite trying to hold back, tears welled up in my eyes again, a grin plastered on my face as I watched him. Watching him was so good; I was glad he was here for me.
