Lucas's POV.

My eyes twitched violently as the judge, whom I thought would announce the winner, began a long lecture about the competition, and good Lord! How I wanted to fast forward time.

As he dragged on, I felt my patience wearing thinner than a sheet of phyllo dough. Seriously, was this guy paid by the word that comes out of his mouth? I looked at my nervous-looking Red, and I shot him a glare that could've melted a polar ice cap, silently wishing he would go straight to the fucking announcement. I was sure the crowd and the rest of the competitors were getting bored of his long speech already.

Like what's wrong with these people? Haven't they had enough of the speech?

The worst was that my brain couldn't process whatever gibberish he was saying, so I just sat on my seat, fuming and biting my tongue and inner cheeks to prevent myself from cussing.
