After a short reminder from my mom, I move around my room, packing up everything and anything that seems to be useful, I can't shake off the feeling in the pit of my stomach–'its like a mix of thrill and dread...what if I'm unable to cope with Dominic's overly strictness?
It may be too late to try talking mum out of it...
I glance around my bare room once more, giving my outfit a once over in the mirror and then trudge downstairs, suitcases in tow.
"Mum." I call for her as I walk into the warm kitchen filled with the scent of cupcakes and some sauce she's stirring on the stove.
Why'd it seem like she was making a celebratory meal for sending me away?
"Good, you're on time for once." She gave a smug response as she takes in my appearance before turning back to what she's doing.
"Don't you think you're being too rash? We haven't even seen him in years! What makes you think it's convenient to send me there?"
She turns off the heat, takes off her mittens and fully faces me, arms crossed, eyes hard as she scoffs. "Your never ending rebellion to begin with? And don't worry about convenience, Dominic is more well equipped for your grand visit!" Sarcasm and anger are laced in her words.
My eyes sting, tears threatening to spill, the harshness from my own mother feeling stronger than ever.
We've never been close to begin with. She never understood me like dad did. And things only got worse after he died.
I wasn't and could never be the perfect daughter she so wanted me to be and that was it.
I give a stiff nod and swallow the lump in my throat. "You're giving me away like you don't want me anymore”
She paused, crossing her arms. “Maddie, I am your mother. There's no way I wouldn't want my child. You need to learn from your mistakes and grow up” she exhaled “it's for the best and you'll be safe too” she added.
I knew arguing would be pointless. Once my mom made up her mind, no changing it. The thought of living with Dominic provoked me more. I mean, anyone but Dominic Vale.
“Your ride is here honey” mom said as a black SUV drove into our driveway.

The flight to London was a swift one. I'm jolted awake as the car gradually slowed to a stop. I blink a few times, glancing at the time on my phone to see that I must've fallen asleep during the drive.
I couldn't help but gape at the mansion laid out in front of us and even as I stepped out of the car, my jaw dropped in awe.
It was no secret that Dominic was rich, but this was on another whole new level! The marble pillars, huge fountain, and shiny structure was breathtaking. I trail after the driver who helps with my bags like a lost puppy, gaping even more at the interior once we're inside. The house is clean, almost too clean. Still. Deliberate...like him. Every step I take echoes too loud, every movement feels like an intrusion.
"Madeline." The husky yet tantalizing voice sliced through the air and I froze.
For a brief second, my body stilled. A chilling sensation ran down my spine.
I knew that voice. It was him.
Slowly, I turned around and there he was, standing at the bottom of the stairs. A few distances away from me. Six years passed since I saw him yet he hadn't changed a bit, aside from the low grey beard mixed with the black ones on his face, he still had a structured frame. Broad shoulders, sculpted torso, veiny arms. He was literally a hot breathing male.
Every movement he made exuded dominance and command. My heart hammered as he took his final step toward me, the air now thick between us. His cologne hit me first, dark and expensive, filling my nostrils,wrapping around me till my stomach dipped and heat followed.
He paused for a moment. With a blank expression on his face as he stared at me. Almost like he was scrutinizing me or unhappy. I couldn't tell.
"They'll be rules you'll abide by during your stay here." He broke the silence.
I couldn't help the frown that took up my face following his statement. Straight to the point huh? No hellos, no pleasantries or small talks.
He was staring at me like I was a new recruit in a military ground and he was my captain...
"No late nights. No attitude. And most importantly, you do as I say always, no questions." Clipped emotionless commands.
I search his eyes with mine, feeling like I'm drowning in the intense grey pools, and then I smile, slow and dangerous.
"As you say."
~~~~~
One of Dominic's staff shows me to my insanely spacious room and I spend the rest of the day unpacking and gossiping with the girls.
Amidst all I was doing to keep myself busy, my mind continued to flash those grey orbs in my head, and kept pointing out the effect his voice had.
And by dinner time, my body is electrified and I can't find a suitable outfit to hide my aroused nipples poking through my dress.
I join Dominic who's already seated at the dinning in silence and no words are exchanged as we eat.
The quiet seems to make everything a bit more intense, my mind drinking up every little feature of his like a starved cat. The way his forearm flexes when he lifts a glass to his lips, the veins tracing up his sleeves, entwining with the tattoos peaking from beneath his rolled up sleeves.
Hands so big and calloused they'd fit perfectly around my throat, cupping my boobs, holding me in place while he drive into me–
"Madeline." His voice snaps me out of my forbidden fantasies and I go red realizing I've been caught ogling him, my nipples hardening even more I doubt he hadn't noticed them.
"Do you not like your meal?"
I shake my head awkwardly, taking a big gulp of water. "I do, but I'm full now." I murmur, rushing off before I embarrass myself further.
Later that night, I'm scrolling through my phone when a sound coming from outside distracts me. Curiosity got the best of me and I slip on my flip-flops, heading out of my room and down the hallway to check.
The night air is chilly and I wrap my arms around myself cursing softly as I realize I had forgotten to throw on my robe and the flimsy night dress I had on was as good as being naked.
I peak outside the window by the staircase to see Dominic standing under the porch light, seeming to be fixing something.
His bare broad back traps me in place first, my eyes trailing down to the low hung sweatpants resting on his hips. Muscles taut, thick cords blending well with his build and biceps. Sweat glistens against his skin as he works, the dusting of greying hair amongst his hair shining as moonlight catches it.
I clenched my thighs, I could feel the pool between my legs already. Day one and I already can't control my horniness around the man. I felt like a dog in heat!
I let out a gasp as he looked up suddenly as if feeling my eyes on him, he was definitely getting a clear view of me from the huge window thanks to the reflection from the lights.
My whole body heated up at his stare, drops of sweat trickling down my back as our gazes locked. It was getting way too obvious I was snooping around him. Like they had a mind of their own, my eyes drifted from his grey orbs to his broad chest, not until he tilted his head with a frown I'd realized I was checking him out and I got caught. In a swift second I rushed back to my room.
The thought of Dominic's need to control me didn't scare me off, his intimidating stance and cold stare shook me a bit but I was more aroused than petrified in his presence.
If he was so adamant on acting all tough and unaffected by my presence, I was going to break his resolve and get what I wanted.
She froze as she blinked repeatedly, finally taking in her surrounding. Nicole sat on a chair nearby, eyes fixed on her,face stern. Hospital..... "What's going on?" She finally asked, memories of what brought her here made her shiver as she held her head again. "Would've been more reasonable if you'd checked your body to see if any part was cut out, rather than asking that" Theo's harsh words cut in .Leslie rolled her eyes. "Are you feeling alright? You fainted before I could get in?" Nicole's voice was hard. She nodded,then turned to look at Nicole, her eyes flickering with realization. "You didn't see hi
Nicole turned to me, eyes raking over my body, I shook my head in disapproval. "She said I don't deserve to talk to you all though.. After all, I'm a slut." I smiled at Anna. Her face turned red in anger when she realized what I was doing. James's last hands balled into a fist. "You still on about this little things?" Someone whistled from the back.
