Chapter 5

Morning light spilled across the kitchen table like nothing had changed.

Aria’s mother moved around the stove in a soft robe, humming under her breath while she made pancakes. Dominic sat at the island with his coffee, scrolling through emails on his phone. Aria kept her eyes on her plate and tried not to look at either of them.

Every ordinary sound felt too loud. The scrape of a spatula. The quiet clink of a mug. The soft brush of Dominic’s knee against hers under the table when he shifted. She froze. He didn’t move away immediately. When he finally did, the loss of contact left her skin tingling.

“I thought we could all go out for lunch later,” her mother said, setting a plate in front of Aria. “There’s that new place by the waterfront.”

“Sounds good,” Dominic answered. His voice was calm. Only Aria noticed the tight line of his mouth.

She nodded and forced a bite of pancake. It tasted like nothing.

The morning dragged. Her mother stayed close, chatting about work, asking questions, filling the house with her presence. Dominic found reasons to stay in the same rooms. Aria felt him watching her whenever her mother’s back was turned. The weight of his gaze made it hard to breathe normally.

Around noon her mother stretched and yawned.

“Jet lag is hitting harder than I expected. I’m going to take a long bath and lie down for a while. You two entertain yourselves.”

She kissed Dominic’s cheek, squeezed Aria’s shoulder, and disappeared upstairs. The sound of the bathroom door closing was followed by the rush of running water.

Dominic waited thirty seconds. Then he stood, walked to the bottom of the stairs, and listened. When he turned back, his eyes were dark.

“Upstairs,” he said quietly. “My study. Now.”

Aria’s heart slammed against her ribs. She followed him down the hall. The second the study door clicked shut behind them he had her backed against it, mouth on hers, one hand already under her shirt.

The kiss was rough and desperate. He tasted like coffee and restraint finally breaking. His hands shoved her shorts down her hips. She kicked them away and reached for his belt with shaking fingers.

“We have to be quiet,” he muttered against her neck. “She could come out any second.”

“I know.”

He spun her around and bent her over the edge of his desk. Papers scattered. She heard the sound of his zipper, then felt the thick head of his cock sliding through her wetness. He didn’t tease. He pushed in slow and deep in one long thrust until he was buried to the hilt.

Aria bit down on her own arm to stay silent. The stretch burned in the best way. He was bigger than she had imagined, thick and hot and relentless as he started to move.

“Fuck,” he breathed against her ear. “You feel even better than I thought you would.”

He fucked her in deep, controlled strokes, one hand wrapped around her hip, the other covering her mouth when soft sounds still escaped. The desk creaked under them. Every thrust pushed her closer to the edge. She could hear the shower still running upstairs. The knowledge that her mother was only a floor away made every sensation sharper.

Dominic reached around and rubbed her clit in tight circles. “Come on my cock,” he ordered, voice low and rough. “Do it now.”

She shattered with a muffled cry, walls clamping down around him. He followed a few strokes later, burying himself deep and pulsing inside her with a quiet, broken groan.

For a moment they stayed locked together, breathing hard. Then he pulled out slowly. She felt the warm slide of his cum down her thigh.

He turned her to face him. His expression was wrecked and intense.

“This doesn’t leave this room,” he said.

She nodded, still trying to catch her breath.

He cleaned her gently with tissues from the desk, helped her back into her shorts, and smoothed her hair like he could erase what they had just done. The shower upstairs shut off.

Dominic stepped back and opened the study door like nothing had happened.

“Go,” he said quietly. “Before she comes down.”

Aria slipped into the hallway on unsteady legs. She made it to the living room just as her mother’s footsteps started down the stairs.

Her mother appeared at the bottom, hair wrapped in a towel, smiling.

“That bath was exactly what I needed. What have you two been up to?”

Aria felt Dominic’s cum still warm between her thighs. She forced a small smile and hoped her voice sounded normal.

“Nothing much,” she said. “Just talking.”

Dominic stood in the study doorway behind her mother, eyes locked on Aria over her shoulder. The look he gave her was pure possession and pure warning at the same time.

Her mother’s phone rang on the kitchen counter. She turned to answer it, still smiling, completely unaware.

Aria stayed frozen in place, pulse racing, the secret of what they had just done already burning under her skin.

Aria barely slept. The words Dominic had spoken in the kitchen kept replaying in her head. Tonight. My room. I need to be inside you again. Combined with the way he had touched her right there under the same roof as her mother, the memory left her restless and aching. She waited until the house went completely still. No light under her mother’s door. No sound of movement. Only then did she slip out of bed and walk the short distance to Dominic’s room. The door opened the second she raised her hand to knock, as if he had been waiting on the other side. He pulled her in, locked the door, and had her against it before she could speak. The kiss was slower than the ones before, deeper, almost careful. His hands framed her face like she was something precious and forbidden at the same time. When he finally pulled back, his eyes were dark and serious. “I’ve been thinking about you all night,” he said quietly. “About how you feel when I’m inside you. About how quiet you try to be. About

Her mother’s voice carried up the stairs, bright and ordinary.“I’m home! Who wants to help with bags?”Dominic was already moving. He stepped into the hallway just as Aria’s door clicked shut behind him. By the time her mother reached the top of the stairs he looked calm, composed, like he had simply been walking past.“I’ll get them,” he said.Aria stayed in her room, back against the door, trying to steady her breathing. She could still feel him inside her. The soft ache between her legs. The way he had said this is more than sex. She pressed a hand over her mouth and closed her eyes until the shaking stopped.Downstairs, ordinary life resumed.Bags were unpacked. Her mother talked about traffic and a sale on the wine Dominic liked. Aria eventually came down and helped put groceries away, hyper-aware of every time Dominic moved past her. Once, while her mother was bent over the refrigerator, his hand brushed the small of Aria’s back, fingers spreading just long enough to feel posse

Dominic opened the bedroom door only wide enough to block the view inside.Aria stayed frozen on the far side of the bed, sweater clutched to her chest, heart slamming so hard she felt dizzy. She could still feel him between her legs. The sheets were a mess. The air still smelled like sex.“Glasses?” Dominic’s voice sounded almost normal. “I think I saw them on the bathroom counter earlier.”Her mother’s soft laugh floated in. “Of course. I looked everywhere except the obvious place. Sorry for bothering you.”“No bother.”The door clicked shut. Footsteps moved away. Only when the master bedroom door closed again did Aria let out a shaky breath.Dominic turned to her. His expression was tight, eyes still dark with leftover heat and fresh adrenaline.“That was too close,” he said quietly.“I know.”He crossed the room, cupped her face, and kissed her once, hard and brief. “Get dressed. Go to your room. We’ll talk tomorrow.”She nodded, pulled her clothes on with trembling hands, and sli

Dominic walked out of the laundry room like nothing had happened.Aria stayed behind for a full minute, trying to slow her breathing. She could still feel the pressure of his hand between her legs. She could still hear the rough way he had said “Tonight.” When she finally stepped into the hallway her mother was coming down the stairs with the laptop charger in hand, smiling.“Found it,” she said. “Dominic’s so good at locating the things I lose.”Aria managed a small smile and escaped to her room before her face gave anything away. The rest of the afternoon stretched like a wire pulled too tight. They moved around the house in careful orbits. Her mother worked at the kitchen table. Dominic took a long work call in the study with the door half open. Aria sat on the living room couch pretending to scroll on her phone, hyper-aware of every sound. Every time he passed through the room their eyes met for a fraction too long. Once, while her mother was distracted by an email, his hand brush

The knock came again, softer this time.“Dominic? I thought I heard something.”Aria’s heart slammed so hard she felt dizzy. Dominic moved fast. He yanked her sleep shirt over her head, shoved her shorts into her hands, and pointed silently toward the small bathroom attached to the study. She slipped inside on trembling legs just as he unlocked the main door. She pressed her back against the bathroom wall, still naked from the waist down, shorts clutched in one fist, the other hand covering her mouth. Cum slipped down her inner thigh. She could hear everything.“Sorry,” Dominic’s voice came, calm and low. “I dropped a glass. Didn’t mean to wake you.”Her mother’s sleepy laugh floated through the door. “You’re working too late again. Come to bed soon, okay?”“I will. Go back to sleep.”Footsteps retreated. The master bedroom door closed.Aria stayed frozen until Dominic opened the bathroom door. His eyes swept over her bare legs and the evidence still glistening on her skin. Something

Morning felt heavier than the night before.Aria sat at the kitchen table pushing scrambled eggs around her plate while her mother talked about rescheduling meetings and how good it felt to be home. Dominic stood at the counter making a second pot of coffee. Every time he moved, the air seemed to shift toward her.She could still feel him. The slight soreness between her legs. The faint bruises his fingers had left on her hips. The memory of how he had filled her, hand clamped over her mouth, while the shower ran upstairs. Her mother reached over and squeezed her hand. “You seem quiet this morning, sweetheart. Everything okay?”“Just tired,” Aria said. She kept her eyes on her plate.Dominic set a fresh mug in front of her. His fingers brushed hers for half a second longer than necessary. The contact sent a spark straight down her spine. She looked up. His expression stayed carefully neutral, but his eyes were dark and knowing. The day passed in a blur o
