Sienna

Tossing and turning, I finally gave up and threw the covers off me. Earlier, when the coast was clear, Adrian had made dinner for Ava and me. He wasn’t a great cook, but he wanted me to rest, so he whipped up a simple sandwich. I wondered about the others but didn’t voice my question. Ava was already on edge. I genuinely hoped she would settle down and not be so angry the next time we saw Lucian’s sister. I didn’t want to treat her with hostility she didn’t deserve. I could admit, I wasn’t the most comfortable seeing her, but I didn’t want to treat her horribly and make her feel like an imposter here. She had as much right to be here as I did.

Thankfully, everyone had retreated to their rooms because I didn’t see them for the rest of the night. Adrian had been gone a while. Upon return, he told me he had a meeting with Lucian to discuss the next course of action. He acted like he wasn’t happy about it, but I sensed a difference after he came back. He sounded satisfied, or c

  • Sins of The Mafia   Chapter 118

Sienna's PovThe curtains swayed gently against the open window, letting in the cool breath of night. I’d left it open hours ago, too restless to sleep, too lost in my thoughts to care. The city lights stretched out below like a living pulse, but up here, it was silent—just the faint rhythm of my own heartbeat.I was halfway through another slow breath when a voice broke through the stillness.“Couldn’t sleep again?”I froze. The glass of water in my hand trembled before I set it down on the bedside table. For a moment, I thought I was imagining it. But then I turned.Lucian was there. Standing by the window like he’d stepped right out of the shadows themselves—black shirt, dark eyes, and that look that always seemed to see straight through me.My heart jumped into my throat. “You—how did you—?”He tilted his head slightly, the corner of his mouth curving. “You left the window open.”I swallowed hard, trying to hide the way my pulse raced. “You can’t just appear in people’s bedrooms,

Lucien's PovThe wound still burned.A dull, throbbing reminder of the chaos that had nearly taken everything from me.I stood in the middle of the dimly lit chamber, blood still fresh on my knuckles, my breath coming in rough, uneven pulls. My father lay crumpled against the wall, his once-commanding frame now nothing but a pitiful heap. His voice was gone. Just broken gasps and muffled curses.I looked down at him, my jaw clenched so tight it hurt.“You made her a target,” I said, my tone low, steady, but shaking underneath. “You used her—my wife, the mother of my child—as bait.”He laughed. “Love makes you weak, boy. You were never fit to run this empire.”My fist connected with his face again before the words even fully registered. The sound of bone meeting flesh echoed across the room. Nico didn’t flinch. He stood near the door, silent, but his hand rested on his gun—a silent reminder that if I gave the order, this would end in one shot. But I didn’t want it to end that quickly.

Sienna's Pov Sound of beeping and the anesthetic smell woke me up. I found myself in a hospital bed with IV attached to me. “Oh you’re up.” Ava perked up from the couch she was sitting on. My hands instantly went to my belly as I looked down. “You’re fine, your baby’s fine too. You were just dehydrated.” She said immediately when she noticed my panic. A sigh of relief escaped my lips just before the memory of how I got here resurfaced. “Lucian.” I said, my voice hoarse and eyes widened. “He’s alive too.” Ava answered, pushing me back on the bed. “I need to see him.” I tried pushing to get up. “Alright alright I’ll take you to him but wait for a wheelchair. You need to be careful, Si.” She ordered me to wait until she came back. Once I was settled in the wheelchair she pushed me down the hallway before stopping outside a room. Pushing the door open, she wheeled my chair inside. “She wouldn’t settle down until I brought her.” Ava said to Adrian

Sienna“Aren’t you happy all of this is over?” Ava asked suddenly. Startled, the shirt in my hand dropped. “What do you mean of course I am.” I answered immediately, bending to pick up the shirt. “Then why are you so quiet?” Ava’s super observant eyes caught on. I was glad all of this was over but a part of me was sad to leave this place behind, more importantly my secret meetings with Lucian behind. They weren’t a secret anymore since Adrian discovered us one day. He was silent when he took me back to my room. I was afraid I upset him but he quickly reassured me he wasn’t upset but concerned. “Do you know what you’re doing?” He asked. “I–” I looked away, “I don’t know.” I answered, because truly I didn’t know what I was doing just that it made me a little better. “Listen, if you're happy then that’s all I need.” He surprised me. “Aren’t you mad? You still hate him.” I asked. “I do hate him but a part of me recognizes the love in his eyes. So I won’t

LucianI was seated in the conference room, waiting for Adrian to show up. It had been 2 weeks since we met up with Rocci. Since Sienna first let me touch her belly. An immediate smile came over my face at the memory. I had never expected the proud feeling that emerged in me. The thought that I was going to be a father to a tiny human scared me. But it also made me determined to never turn out like my father. Since that day, Sienna and I usually sat outside at night together. She slowly lost her wariness. She would tell me how her pregnancy went throughout and we would just talk about anything. I had asked her to come live with me once we were out of this place but she hadn’t given me an answer. In a way she still didn’t trust me. I couldn’t blame her but we were slowly going that way. Moving onto Rocci, we had communicated several times over the past two weeks. He was a determined young man. I saw the potential in him the first time we met, I knew he would be a good leader. But

  • Sins of The Mafia   Chapter 113

Sienna's Pov The next morning, sunlight streamed through the thin curtains, warm against my face. My body felt heavy, my eyes gritty from too little sleep. I rolled over with a groan, my hand instinctively resting on my belly. Bean had been restless all night. Or maybe it was me. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw Lucian’s face—too close, too handsome, too dangerous. The ghost of almost-kissing him clung to me like a shadow I couldn’t shake. I pushed myself upright, deciding food might distract me. Padding softly into the kitchen, I expected silence. Instead, I froze. Lucian was there. He stood at the stove, sleeves rolled to his elbows, stirring something in a pan. A pot of coffee was already brewing. The faint smell of toast hung in the air. He glanced up when I entered, and for the briefest second, that same warmth from last night flickered in his eyes. But he didn’t push it. He just offered me a small smile. “Morning,” he said, his voice calm, steady. “I wasn’t sure
