My stomach grumbled, I hadn’t eaten anything fulfilling since lunch. I opened the fridge to see if I could find anything. To my shock everything was fully stocked, I had not expected that from a bachelor. I often had to remind Adrian to stock up the kitchen. With all these luxuries, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone else was doing this all for him. I quickly made myself a light dinner and sat down to eat. Just as I was finished, there was a knock on the door. The alarms in my head rang. After all that had happened, I wouldn't trust myself to let my guard down. To my utmost relief, it was the doormen with my bags.

After I was done feeding myself, I went in search of a bedroom, since Lucian told me to check it all myself. I came across a room, and as soon as I entered it, I was hit with the familiar smell of sandalwood.

    Lucian Two hours later, I parked my car outside a boutique that was nestled between two high-end jewelry stores. Its exterior deceptively minimalist, just floor-to-ceiling glass with delicate gold lettering that read “Maison Élodie.” A friend owned this shop. For me it was a walk-in appointment, but for others it would take months to secure one.
