Lucian

It’s been two weeks since Sienna had been staying in my penthouse. We have come to a mutual understanding since then. I haven’t tried anything on her yet, slowing letting her trust me. We have a routine, I drop her at work and pick her up. Sometimes I was not able to pick her up due to meetings, so I asked Nico to do it. There are a few days we don’t see each other due to our working hours but every once in a while we have dinner together. I made dinner most of the time because I’ve come to learn that she enjoyed my cooking. She even made me go down to the art gallery with her.

Since the day I got her the moon bracelet she hasn’t taken it off. I believe this is working in my favour. But every time I see her face, a pang of guilt hits me.

Talking about work, we didn’t find anything that could lead to the attackers. My suspicion on Tony had me put men on him. Till now he hasn’t done anything suspicious for me to accuse him in front of everyone. Spending time with Sien

SiennaAva plopped down on my bed, in the hotel room. We both had separate rooms in our suite but I already knew she would be at mine most of the time. We planned to stay there for three days before moving to Aunt Gia’s house. Her house was away from the city, more on the suburban side so we planned to stay in the city for two days, so we could shop around. “I’m already in love.” Ava sighed. I rolled my eyes. “With who? The receptionist or the bellboy?” I raised my eyebrows at her. “Everyone!” She exclaimed. “It’s so dreamy here.” I flopped down beside her. “I know right.” I responded with a smile of my own. She turned on her side, facing me. “So are we going to talk about it?” She asked. “About what?” I asked, acting oblivious to what she was saying. “You know what I mean,” She narrowed her eyes, “How you’re afraid to pursue love again.” I turned away from her and faced the ceiling. “I’m not afraid.” I responded. I was afraid.

Sienna“Okay tell me one thing straight,” Ava started. She was over at Lucian’s penthouse with her bags packed. We were leaving in an hour to catch our flight. “You’re totally in love with him right?” She finished. “Oh my god! Shut up! You can’t say that here!” I whisper hissed at her, glancing at the door to make sure no one was there. No one was home other than us but I still wanted to make sure. “What?” Ava gave me an innocent look I knew too well. “He’s not home and you didn’t answer my question.” She snorted. “For your information, no I’m not in love with him. We’re just friends.” I told her honestly. That was true, Lucian hadn’t tried anything with me other than occasionally touching but he was being a perfect gentleman. Something I hadn’t expected at all. I still haven’t figured out why Lucian and Adrian hate each other after being friends for life. I tried to pry it out of him a couple times but he never let it slip. “Sure a guy who saves you at your worst mom

Lucian Two hours later, I parked my car outside a boutique that was nestled between two high-end jewelry stores. Its exterior deceptively minimalist, just floor-to-ceiling glass with delicate gold lettering that read “Maison Élodie.” A friend owned this shop. For me it was a walk-in appointment, but for others it would take months to secure one. I got out of the car and opened the door for Sienna, motioning for her to get out. “We’re here for your dress shopping.” I told her, on seeing her expression. “Here? You need an appointment to go in there!” She asked, surprise evident in her voice. “Not for me.” I simply said and opened the door of the boutique for her. “I love this, but I need Ava to help me find my dress.” Sienna said slowly as she took in place. “Am I not your friend?” I asked, faking hurt in my voice. Sienna rolled her eyes. “You’re a man! You can’t tell me what looks nice and what doesn’t, or what matches my skin tone–” She kept going on. I

Sienna“Yes, just drop me here.” I asked Adrian to drop me outside Ava’s. Adrian had picked me up from the hospital today and we had gone out to eat and spend some time before he left. “You sure? I could drive you back to yours.” Adrian offered. He could, but I had a feeling Lucian would pick me. “Yeah it’s fine, I’m going to stay the night here.” I explained, feeling guilty for lying. “Come here.” Adrian pulled me against him, giving me a tight hug. “Alright take care and call me if you need anything? And I mean it this time.” He ordered . Adrian was going back to London and this time he won’t be coming back for a while. I nodded, afraid if I said anything else I would turn into the same 10 year old who would cry whenever her big brother had to leave. The whole time we spent, I almost spilled everything–twice but after seeing and realizing the burden he had on him, I stopped. I didn’t want to add anything on top of it if someone else could fix it. Adri

  • Sins of The Mafia   Chapter 46

SiennaSettling in the car, Lucian drove out of the parking lot. He glanced at me before asking, “You had dinner yet?” “No. We were deciding what to get before you showed up.” I answered honestly. “Want to grab something before heading home?” He kept saying home even though his place felt far from a home. I thought about refusing but changed my mind. “Sure. There’s this fast food restaurant I wanted to try out.” I told him, getting my phone out to get directions. “Fast food? You don’t want to go to a five star?” He asked while glancing at me, uncertainty in his voice. “No, that's alright.” I said distractedly, looking through my phone for directions. As soon as I found it I guided Lucian through the way. After ten minutes we were parked outside a small old looking restaurant. I undid my seat belt and got out. Lucian came after me. “You sure you wanna go there?” He asked, something like disgust on his face when looking at the place. I di
