Sienna

I slowly got out and walked inside. Adrian was rummaging through the cabinets in the kitchen, slamming them shut and opening others. He was clearly looking for something. I stood silently, watching him. When I finally gathered the courage, I cleared my throat.

“You’re not going to ask?” I said in a small voice. It took everything in me not to cry right then. Adrian’s hands stilled, his back still facing me. When he didn’t respond, I continued.

“I know you’re mad, and you probably hate me...” My voice cracked at the end. Adrian turned around, and the look on his face made me shiver. There was so much anger and disappointment written all over it.

“Yes, I’m mad, Sienna.” He said my full name so harshly, it made my chest tighten. “I told you he was an asshole. I told you he’s a manipulative bastard.” He shook his head. “I told you he wasn’t trustworthy, but you didn’t listen. I warned you. My biggest mistake was not being here when he trapped you.”

Lucian The last two weeks had been nothing short of chaos. Adrian had declared an all-out war, and I gave it back to him just as hard. He must have felt the sting of getting exactly what he deserved. He’d already hit several of my warehouses—blunt, brutal attacks with no hesitation. I retaliated in kind. Our animosity was no longer a secret. Everyone knew, and everyone had chosen sides. I started looking into Roy Salvatore, the man Sienna mentioned—Adrian’s newest associate and, as it turned out, Tony’s cousin. How that connection stayed hidden for so long was a mystery. The day after the war began, I cornered Tony and scared the truth out of him. He swore he didn’t know Adrian and I were enemies. Claimed he’d cut ties with him. Swore loyalty to me. But I didn’t buy it. I kept a close eye on him. Each time Adrian attacked something new, my chest filled with bitter satisfaction—proof he was hurting. But that satisfaction never lasted. Not when I thought of her. Sienna. I told he

Sienna We had just landed in New York—JFK Airport. It was bustling with people rushing to get home. No one gave anyone a second glance. “Ahh, it feels good to be home,” Ava said, stretching her arms. She had taken time off from the hospital to come with me. I had no idea how I’d ever thank her for always being by my side. We collected our luggage and made our way out. Ava made a quick phone call, and moments later, a black SUV pulled up in front of us. The driver stepped out and greeted her. “Hello, Miss Morozov.” Ava’s real name was Avana Morozov, but for work, she had changed it to Ava Harris. She never minded—it had always been her nickname anyway. She returned the greeting and climbed into the car. The driver loaded our bags into the trunk. I followed her inside. Settling into the seat, I messaged Adrian to let him know I’d landed. His response came immediately: ADRIAN: Great. Let me know when you reach the house too. I turned off my phone and looked out the window, takin

SiennaI was pulled out of my thoughts by Ava barging into my room, her hands full of my stuff. She had offered to get my essentials from my apartment, but in that moment, she looked upset.“What’s wrong?” I asked her as she set down the bags.“Nothing,” she replied immediately. I narrowed my eyes—I knew something was wrong.“Come tell me,” I insisted. She sighed and took a seat on the bed beside me.“I saw Nico,” she told me.“Oh,” was all I could say.“He looked beaten up,” she started. “He wouldn’t let me go unless I heard him out.” I let out a chuckle.“What does he need to say?” I said sarcastically.“He said he had no idea about what Lucian had planned,” she said, though her tone sounded unconvinced.“He was still the one who led him to me,” I said. Ava nodded.“That’s exactly what I told him, but he kept saying he didn’t know Lucian was doing this and didn’t understand why Lucian even wanted to take revenge on your brother,” she relayed. “He wanted to apologize, but I told him

Lucian Silence hung over the room like a heavy blanket. Ever since Sienna left, the house had grown so unnervingly quiet that it made my skin crawl. I should have felt triumphant—for avenging my sister—but all I felt was a vast emptiness, slowly being filled by wave after wave of guilt. The silence was so deafening, I began to hear my own words from earlier, echoing like bullets in my mind. The weight of what I’d said crushed me. I had gone too far, blinded by rage and the image of my sister clinging to life by a thread. I told myself I did this for justice, for some sense of satisfaction. But all I felt was the heavy drop of my heart, sinking deeper into something darker. The last look—her glare—before she walked out, haunted me. There was so much pain in her eyes, so much confusion. She didn’t know this was about her so called brother. She didn’t deserve to be targeted, but I still used her. That look kept replaying in a cruel loop in my mind. Each time it came back sharper than

Sienna I was back in my childhood room, lying in bed while Ava stroked my hair from behind. I had called her in a haze, sobbing uncontrollably, and she came running. That moment made me realize something—I had people in my corner who came without hesitation when I needed them, and yet I had still chosen Lucian. I had been stupid and naive to trust him. “Shh, it’s okay. Everything will be fine,” Ava soothed gently. I sat up abruptly and turned to face her. “How could everything be fine after this? Adrian is going to kill him, and…” I trailed off as another sob rose in my throat, choking me. Ava’s face darkened, her expression hardening. “Good. He deserves to die,” she spat, her eyes icy with rage. “Ava!” I exclaimed, shocked. “You know I warned him. I warned him that if he ever hurt you, he’d make enemies—many of them,” she hissed. “What do you mean?” I asked, dread already twisting in my gut. “My uncle takes my words seriously, Si. All I have to do is tell him, and Lucian wil
