Scarlett's POV:

I blinked repeatedly and confusedly as he finally inclined from me, heading to his desk while being cautious of his steps. He picked up a white envelope and returned back to me and stretched it for me to collect it.

I narrowed my eyes a bit, eager to know what was in there and why he would give it to me, although, I knew for certain that whatever all these were, it wasn't going to fall into the expectations of mine. Nevertheless, I collected the envelope, hesitant to open it to visualize the content it contains.
