“What is she doing here?” Vittoria asked her assistant before turning to the maid, “What is the problem?” she queried, her face contouring into a soft frown.

“And how did you manage to get in here?” Vittoria’s voice shook as she spoke, her eyes darting nervously from the maid to the reporters gathered in the room.

Her assistant was following closely behind her when a reporter asked, “What’s going on? Why is your maid shaking like that? Is she okay?”

“I don’t know,” Vittoria replied wearing a brittle smile on her face and desperately attempted to maintain a facade of composure.

Turning to the maid, “Is everything okay? Did you have a disagreement with any of your colleagues, or perhaps one of the other maids?” she inquired with feigned nonchalance.

The maid’s voice was shaking as she looked up at Vittoria. “You made me poison Amora,” she said, crying.
