Brian glanced at my backpacks sarcastically. "Does that mean there's only food inside?"

“Yes.” I was shy; I was worried he didn't eat well, so I brought a lot of canned food for him to choose from.

Brian shot me a sharp look and then ducked into the tent, and after a few minutes, his cold voice spoke. "Come in!"

I was happy, as if I had just received a New Year's gift, I was afraid Brian would change his mind, so I quickly got into the tent.
