My eyes fluttered open, but nothing had changed. I was still here — the same trees, the same damp air pressing down on me.

What was going on?

I tried to push myself up, but it was useless. My limbs wouldn’t move, like something invisible had me pinned. My back scraped against bark, and that’s when I realized—

I was strapped to a fucking tree.

My pulse spiked. I jerked against the binds — nothing. Every breath felt heavier, tighter, like the forest itself was watching me.

“Let me go!” My voice came out cracked, small.

No one answered. Just the low rustle of leaves.

Where the fuck was Sven?

I tried to rack my brain for how I got here, but the only thing I could remember was the night with Sven.

But something about this moment felt familiar.

As if on cue, fireworks lit up the sky — blue, red, and purple.

I looked down at my hands and realized they looked smaller.
