Chapter One-Hundred and Thirteen

Since no one believed me about Hailey, I decided to look for her by myself.

All around me, the lone crickets making noise clamored for company, and in my chest, my heartbeat was slow and steady, even as my mind worked overtime, thinking of ways to look for Hailey. After a while, the same voice spoke again, but further away, as if traveling with the wind now.
