Chapter 14: Just for the throne

King Edward's threat made my heart shallow in fear. Yeah, I was aware he wasn't bluffing he could kill Marcus in front of me. I recalled how he almost killed Ashra in front of Alpha James. He had the boldness he would win that attack and Alpha James knew he would lose if he would fight with him.

Aside from that, King Edward had a barbaric aura. He looked like he was the type of man who wouldn't think twice to cut someone's head. He wasn't the man who wouldn't honor his words.

I felt threatened. I got a feeling he might kill Marcus if I gave Marcus a single glimpse. What made me more confused was why I was afraid he might kill Marcus. If Marcus had done terrible for me I could have used the Lycan King to assassinate him.
