“Alpha Ashianna,” Leo called me. His eyes filled with severity when he bowed his head to me. I didn't leave my gaze on him, especially when he ushered me inside. “Gunner is patiently waiting for you.”

“Leo…” I muttered. He stopped walking, took a deep breath, and gave me a look. “I know you don't want your brother to get hurt, right? I'm aware of how you love him.”

“Why are you telling me this, Alpha Ashianna?” Leo asked.

“If Gunner is breathing with the same oxygen as mine, do you think I will have some peace?” I inquired again. I took two steps before I stopped in front of him.

I didn't want to pressure him. I understood why he didn't want to do what I asked him. Still, they were connected by the same flesh and blood, but I didn't think Leo was a saint.

He loved Gunner so much as his brother that he forgot himself, but Ashton and Felicia already knew his weakness. Gunner didn't want Leo to leave him. He also subjected Leo to harsh treatment.
