Aubrey's pov

"I love the way you edited these." Mrs Brown said as she stared at my works, her eyes perusing through the papers.

Today had been really stressful for me, first, I taught Tyler how to make spaghetti and meatballs and after that, he excused himself, saying that he had business to take care of.

I wondered why Tyler would want to learn how to cook? It was so unlike him; okay, fine... Tyler Bresfort was never one to eat outside... He loved his inside food, I sometimes wonder how he managed before I came into his life.

The fact that Tyler Bresfort wanted to learn how to cook was so unexpected, but Tyler being Tyler, he never does anything without reason and me being me, I submitted to whatever he wanted.

"I'm glad you like it, Mrs Brown." I said, a small smile was plastered on my face.

Mrs Brown had being my long-time costumer, she was an author, a best selling author at that...

"I don't just like it, I love it..." She smiled warmly at me.

The door to her office flew open and in came a very beautiful woman, who looked to be in her early thirties... She had red hair, and wrinkles around the corners of her very black eyes as she smiled.

"Amelia." Mrs Brown cheered excitedly as she stood up to give Amelia a warm friendly hug.

"Oh my God, Mrs Brown, you look so good." Amelia cheered too when they broke out of the hug.

Amelia's eyes came down to mine. "Hi there." She smiled.

"Hey... Um... Nice to meet you?" I was unsure of how to reply to her over friendly greetings, I mean... I didn't know this woman, so...

"Nice to meet you too, Aubrey." Amelia said.

I raised my brows at Mrs Brown, I didn't remember telling Amelia my name.

Mrs Brown took her seat, so did Amelia. Mrs Brown smiled at me and said. "Don't be surprised that Amelia here knows your name, she's a psychic."

My eyes widened.

A what? Do they even exist?

"We do..." Amelia responded.

To say I wasn't shocked or surprised would be a very gigantic lie.

"Um... I better go..  I'll see you soon-" I was getting up but-

"No, why don't you stay for a palm reading? It's free." Mrs Brown said.

"Uh... I don't- I don't really believe in that stuff." I said.

Amelia Chuckled. "Most people don't believe in it, but I can assure you, I'm not a cat fish..  I'm the real deal." Amelia said.

"Well, that's what a catfish would say." I muttered.

Mrs Brown laughed. "Come on Aubrey, just one reading, won't you like to know what your future holds?" She asked.

"Well..." I contemplated.

"I don't bite." Amelia laughed.

With a small smile on my face, I said. "Sure... I might as well give it a try."

Amelia came to seat Infront of me, she took my palms in hers and closed her eyes.

I looked around... This was something I never expected to happen today...

"Hmm...You have a bright future ahead of you, you're going to have a wonderful family with three kids." Amelia said, with a smile on her face.

What?! Three?

"Yes... Your husband is going to love and care for you with all his heart, you're going to be happy." Amelia said, her eyes still close.

Amelia's brows came together suddenly, the smile on her face vanished and worry overtook her whole features.

"You, you're planning to do something for someone... Don't do it... It could jeopardize your future and everything I just said about it... You must leave vino da Vinci town, go back to your mother-"

What the hell?! There's no way I'm doing that!

"If you choose to stay, then you'll find love the hard way, you'll find your happiness the hard way... But in all, you'll still have a-"

I took my hands from hers...

"I think I've heard enough... I don't actually believe In this stuff, and it's getting pretty late," I stood up and grabbed my purse.

"I'll see you some other time Mrs Brown." I walked quickly to the door but I stopped when Amelia said.

"Just do what's right Aubrey, no matter the turns you take in life, you're still gonna end up with him... It's in your hands to choose whether you want it the hard way or the easy way." Amelia smiled at me.

With that, I walked out of Mrs Brown comfy office and straight into my car.

What the hell just happened?!

I didn't believe in this supernatural stuff, but something in me knew that, whatever Amelia said was right...

But still, all these things are just for show...

I shouldn't let it get to me?

I won't let it get to me.

The continuous vibration from my phone woke me up, there was no word to describe how awfully tired I was.

I tried to force my eyes shut so I could get a little more sleep, but the continuous vibration didn't let me.

"Who the hell are you!!!" I yelled and grabbed my phone, unplugging the charger, I sat up to see who was aching to face my morning wrath!

And of course, it was Tyler... And he left eighty three missed calls.

Great!

I picked it up. "What the hell Tyler?!" I said.

"Why didn't you pick up your phone?! I've been calling you since forever." He yelled.

"I can see that! Ever considered that ninety percent of people in Vino are still asleep?!"

"Have you checked the time? It's Ten, forty five! No one is asleep!"

I looked over at my bedside alarm... Well, true that.

"Why are you calling?" I asked.

"There's a car parked outside your house," I scrunched my brows and walked to my Window, sliding the curtains to one corner, I saw an SUV parked outside my house. "The parcel is in there, the route to where you're going to deliver it, has been set on the car already... just get your ass in there and get the job done."

I sighed, "Don't order me around Tyler!"

I heard him sigh at the other end. "Just get ready." He said.

I took the phone from my ears after hearing the click sound.

I walked to my bathroom to brush my teeth, I contemplated, should I take my bath or should I do that after the delivery?

I love my morning bath and I can't skip it...

I took a quick shower and after that, I got ready.

Few minutes later, I went out of my house and into the SUV that was parked there. The key was already in the ignition and the car was on...

I shook my head and put on my seat belt... Looking at the passenger seat, I saw the briefcase sitting there.

Amelia's words ran into my mind immediately, was Amelia talking about this? Would doing this favor for Tyler jeopardize my future?

I sighed and looked away...

Don't let her get into your head, Aubrey, Tyler wouldn't do anything to endanger my life... Or would he?

I drove the car down the route displayed by the SUV monitor.

What if Amelia was right? What if I was walking into danger?

I shook the thoughts from my head.

Thirty minutes, I've been driving for thirty minutes now and the monitor said that I had one hour to reach my destination.

I should have eaten something before coming out today, now I'm hungry!

Suddenly, I heard the sound of a police siren, I looked at my side mirror and I got the signal that they wanted me to stop my car... But why? I wasn't even going beyond speed limits?

I parked the SUV at the side of the road and got out, the police car did the same, a man in uniform came out of the car and approached me.

"Is there a problem officer?" I asked.

"We got an anonymous call that there was an SUV driving around this corner and you have a very dangerous thing inside." The police man said.

I scrunched my brows. "Sorry what?" I asked.

"You'll have to step away from the car miss." The officer said.

I did.

He opened my car door and looked inside. "What's inside that briefcase?" He asked me.

"I don't know." I said.

"I won't ask you again miss. What is inside that briefcase." His voice was hard and demanding... It actually scared me.

"I swear on my life, I don't know... I was actually going to get it open before you stopped me." I lied.

Amelia's voice ran through my head again... Maybe she was right... Maybe this was a bad idea.

I raked my hands through my hair as I watched the officer carry the briefcase to the drivers seat, he was about to open it when I said-

"Trust me, that can't be opened." I said, knowing pretty well that the parcel can't actually be opened.

The officer turned to me. "We'll see about that, miss."

I grit my teeth together in fear as the officer placed his attention on the briefcase again.

My heart was hammering.

What if Amelia was right? Oh God... What have I gotten myself into?

The officer pulled off the pin holding the briefcase shut and immediately, it rose a little.

What?!

The officer turned to look at my pale face. "You were saying?"

He moved to raise up the briefcase and my jaw dropped, so did my heart.

My eyes began to tear up at what I was seeing... The briefcase was filled with- with- drugs?!!!

The officer shut it immediately.

"Oh my God... I swear to anything sacred, I didn't- I didn't know it was-"

The officer cut me off... He pointed his gun at me. "Your hands behind your head!"

Oh my God, this isn't happening!!!

"I swear-"

"Your hands behind your head!!!" The officer yelled again.

Immediately, I did as told... He came up behind me and pushed my shaky body to the car as he cuffed me.

Everything seemed to be happening so fast!

"You have the right to remain silent or everything you do or say would be used against you in the court of law!"

God! I hate that line!!!
