Chapter 26 A Belated Gift

"Come in," Tobias' voice greeted Alicia as she approached his room.

Alicia scanned her visitor pass on the machine next to the door and pushed it open, immediately hit by a strong odor of sanitizer and an unknown chemical. Although it was pungent, it was within Alicia's tolerable range.

Stepping onto the plush and clean carpet, Alicia walked towards the room slowly. Unlike the ordinary ward she remembered, this room was luxurious in decoration.

A high-grade marble bathroom was situated on the left after entering, immaculate in appearance. Upon walking out of the corridor, she discovered the living room for visitors, complete with fresh grapes and chopped melons. It felt like being in a presidential suite of a five-star hotel.
