Soon, we drove through a dense line of trees, and my eyes widened in surprise. Before us stretched a large crowd of people, gathered around a dirt track with a starting line painted on the ground. The track was filled with various cars, including many race cars. I had heard rumors about this place at school, but I never imagined I would end up here. As we pulled up, people in the crowd noticed our car and their faces lit up with excitement. My anxiety started to rise, but my driver parked the car, grabbed his phone, and stepped out. He walked around to my side, opening the door, just as Kai and the others approached. I got out of the car, and Kai immediately pulled me into a tight hug, momentarily taking my breath away.

"Glad you're here, Squirt," Kai said, using the nickname he had for me. I laughed, having become accustomed to Kai's affectionate and childlike behavior. Despite his intimidating appearance, he had a sweeter side compared to most guys.
