Alana’s POV

“So your name is just Alana?” he asked as he walked beside me.

I nodded slightly. “Yeah. Just Alana.”

Finally, I arrived at Faang Academy alongside the man I had met on the train earlier. After we stepped off the train, he asked for my name while guiding me toward the academy gates.

As soon as we passed through the massive entrance and headed toward the main building, the atmosphere changed completely. The air felt heavier, thick with the scent of powerful wolves. I quietly inhaled while scanning the area, trying to sense the presence of the Lunar Sword the way my uncle had once described it.

My uncle had described it clearly: the Lunar Sword carried an unnatural scent—sweet ripe berries drenched in thick, skunky cannabis smoke, and a sharp acrid ammonia bite. Loud. Pungent. The kind of scent that cut through everything else and clung to the back of the throat. It was supposed to stand out like a scream in silence.

I kept inhaling, scanning the grounds with every sense I possessed. But I felt nothing.

Maybe it was buried somewhere else in this academy.

He looked at me again. “Oh, you don’t have a last name? A surname?”

I shook my head. “No.”

If I mentioned the surname Reed, he would know immediately. Every werewolf knew what had happened eight years ago. Pack Reed, once prosperous and respected, had been stripped apart and massacred by Pack Savagaz. The name Reed had become something like a curse here.

“Alright,” he said casually.

I quickly added, “I’m just an omega anyway. You know how it is in our hierarchy. Surnames don’t really matter.”

He suddenly looked a little guilty. “Oh, sorry... I didn’t know that.”

“You don’t have to worry about it,” I replied flatly. “I already understand that we come from different classes.”

He kept talking in a friendly tone. “Honestly, I hate that kind of difference. I think all wolves are equal.”

Before I could answer, several men in elite uniforms approached us. Smirks spread across their faces as they looked me up and down.

“Barry! One semester away and you already came back with another omega girl?” one of them mocked. “Is she your whore?”

Their laughter erupted loudly around us. My fists instantly clenched as anger surged through me.

The guy beside me, apparently named Barry, barely reacted. He simply kept walking as if he had heard nothing at all. “Just ignore them. Not every student here is decent. They’re bad examples.”

I glanced at him. “And what about you?”

A faint smile appeared on his lips. “Well, I’m trying to be a good wolf.”

We stopped at a fork in the pathway. He pointed north. “I need to head back to the dorms over there. You still need to double-check your registration, right?”

“Yeah,” I answered. “Anyway, thanks for protecting me from them earlier, Barry.”

He grinned, his sharp blue eyes narrowing slightly. “Well, you’re a good listener. You heard them call my name earlier.”

I only gave him a hesitant smile.

“Yeah, my name’s Barry,” he said, holding out his hand. “Nice to meet you, Alana. See you around.”

I shook his hand briefly. His grip was warm and strong. After that, he turned around and walked away with an easy smile on his face.

I remained standing there, watching his tall figure disappear into the crowd of students.

I shook my head hard, trying to force the image of the man named Barry out of my mind. I had come here for revenge only!

Well, forget about Barry.

With firm steps, I walked toward the administration office.

Inside the fairly spacious room, a middle-aged female teacher greeted me with a friendly smile. I told her my name and explained that I was a new student from the scholarship program.

She checked my name on her laptop, adjusted her glasses, then smiled brightly. “Dear, welcome to Faang Academy. You’re already registered in our system.”

I nodded, but then I noticed the slight crease forming between her brows.

“However...”

I looked at her warily. “What happened?”

The teacher suddenly looked uncomfortable. “I’m sorry. It seems there was a mistake from our team. You haven’t been assigned to the omega scholarship dorm yet. Unfortunately, every room there is already... full.”

Shock instantly hit me. “What? Then what am I supposed to do?”

“Don’t worry, dear,” she said quickly. “We’ll take responsibility for this and arrange a room for you immediately.”

I let out a long breath. “So I’ll get a temporary room?”

She nodded. “That’s right.”

Annoyance rose inside me. This academy’s system was terrible. I had only just arrived, and there was already a problem. I had no idea where they were planning to place me.

The administrative teacher busied herself making a phone call.

After hanging up, she said, “The senior male dorm president will be here shortly to pick you up and escort you to your temporary room.”

I frowned. “The male dorm president? You mean my temporary room is inside the boys’ dorm?”

She nodded again as if it was completely normal. “Yeah, dear. The senior male dorm is the only place with one empty bed left. You’ll stay there temporarily until a room opens up in the omega girls’ dorm in about two weeks.”

I froze in place.

Stay in the same room as senior guys?

Before I could protest, the administration office door swung open. I turned toward it, and my heart nearly stopped.

A tall man wearing an elite uniform stood in the doorway, his sharp blue eyes instantly landing on me. A wide smile spread across his face.

Barry.

“Oh, so this is the new student I’ll be housing?” he said casually, his deep voice smooth and pleasant. “Nice seeing you again, Alana.”

He gave me a gentle smile and motioned for me to follow him. “Sorry about the messy system. Sometimes werewolves glitch too. We make stupid mistakes like this.”

I forced a faint smile. “It’s okay. Maybe it’s because I arrived late. All the new students were supposed to come yesterday for the first day, but I had to make sure my uncle was taken care of first, so I could only arrive today.”

He nodded in understanding. “That’s fine. You’re safe with me. As the senior male dorm president, I can protect you. And yeah... we’ll be roommates for a while.”

I stared at him in slight shock. “Just the two of us?”

Barry shook his head with a small laugh. “No. There’ll be one more. Every dorm room here has to be shared by three students. Right now, I’m only rooming with an Alpha. There’s still one empty bed for you.”

I simply nodded and followed him without saying much.

We took a fast elevator up to the second floor. During the ride, my thoughts spiraled uncontrollably. Sharing a room with two senior guys? This was completely outside my plans.

When we reached the dorm room, Barry opened the door without knocking and walked straight inside.

“Alpha, the new student will be staying in our room temporarily.”

Inside the spacious room, a man stood with his back facing us in front of the large window. He was shirtless, wearing only low-rise black jeans hanging loosely on his hips. His back was broad, his muscles sharply defined as if carved through years of brutal training. His messy brown hair fell slightly over his forehead, and he was even taller than Barry. His jawline was sharp, and the aura of dominance surrounding him was overwhelming even while he stood completely still.

The man slowly turned toward us.

His sharp blue eyes immediately locked onto mine.

Time seemed to stop.

My heartbeat slammed violently against my chest. The intoxicating scent of his wolf instantly filled the entire room.

Barry grinned widely. “Alana, this is Alpha Connor.”

What?

Connor?

The name crashed into my head like lightning.

I immediately lowered my gaze, breaking eye contact at once. The rumor echoed loudly inside my mind—Never look into Alpha Connor Savagaz’s eyes for more than three seconds!

What the fuck was this!?

On my first day at this academy, I had to share a room with Alpha Connor Savagaz. The son of the man who murdered my parents!

ALANAThat morning, I woke up with a heavy head that throbbed painfully, as if someone was stabbing it repeatedly.Soft morning sunlight filtered through the gaps in the window curtains.I glanced at the wall clock and saw that it was already six in the morning. My body felt extremely weak. With great difficulty, I tried to sit up on the edge of the bed while holding my dizzy head. That was when I realized a thick blanket was covering my body. This blanket wasn’t mine. The material was soft, expensive, and carried a scent… that felt very familiar.A strong, warm, masculine scent with a hint of wood. The exact same scent as last night—Connor Savagaz’s scent.Shit!“Why did it have to be me?” I whispered in frustration.Without thinking, I quickly threw the blanket off with a harsh motion and tossed it onto the floor as if it could burn my skin.My heart pounded violently. Vague memories from last night began flashing through my mind.“Good morning, Alana,” Barry’s gentle voice greeted

ALPHA CONNOR"Alpha, where is she?" Barry asked as soon as he stepped into the room.I glanced up from the papers on my desk. “You mean the new girl who’s staying with us?”Barry nodded. “Yes, Alana.”“She went out for a bit,” I replied calmly. “She said she needed to buy some personal items at the minimarket.”Barry smiled, a small but genuine smile that reached his eyes. I studied him for a moment. He looked lighter than usual tonight.“You look happy to have found that new friend,” I said, leaning back in my chair. He nodded, almost shyly. “Yes, she’s cute, right? She also responds when I talk to her.”I felt a quiet sense of happiness for him in silence. Barry rarely opened up about liking someone. Being treated as an outcast in our family for years had made him cautious around people, especially women. Seeing him show even this small interest in Alana was… nice.I stood up and walked toward the window, looking out at the academy grounds. “Just be careful,” I warned softly. “She’s

Alana’s POV"Why do you look so surprised?" Alpha Connor asked in a deep, calm voice.Shit. I would never call him Alpha in my head. That title was too respectful for the son of a ruthless murderer like his father. From now on, he was just Connor to me. But in front of him, I had to pretend to be respectful and act like I held no grudge at all. This was the hardest part, but for the sake of revenge, I would do it.I lowered my head even further and answered softly, “Ugh, no, Alpha. I’m just surprised that I have to share a room with an Alpha like you—the owner of Faang Academy. It’s truly a great honor for me, Honorable Alpha.”He didn’t respond to my words at all. I didn’t dare lift my face to see his expression either. Then, Connor walked straight past me. His strong, masculine scent swept across my nose, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.“I’m heading to the gym,” he said flatly to Barry. “I’ll be back tonight. Prepare warm water for my bath.”“Yes, Alpha,” Barry rep

Alana’s POV“Don’t ever fucking sleep with him!” “Don’t fall in love with him!”My uncle reminded me over and over again. Every time, I answered firmly that I had already promised countless times I would never fall in love with him.“Baron, NEVER!” I said as I shoved clothes into the open suitcase lying on the bed.The person he meant was Connor Savagaz—the son of our enemy.Rumor had it that the man was incredibly handsome. They said any girl who looked into his eyes for more than three seconds instantly fell in love. And once they fell for him, they supposedly lost all sense of reason. But honestly, I thought those rumors were complete bullshit.Baron sat in his wheelchair. He rolled closer to my room and stopped beside me. I knelt in front of him. In the end, you might fail to avenge our family against Pack Savagaz.”“Because the only thing that
