ALPHA CONNOR

"Alpha, where is she?" Barry asked as soon as he stepped into the room.

I glanced up from the papers on my desk. “You mean the new girl who’s staying with us?”

Barry nodded. “Yes, Alana.”

“She went out for a bit,” I replied calmly. “She said she needed to buy some personal items at the minimarket.”

Barry smiled, a small but genuine smile that reached his eyes. I studied him for a moment. He looked lighter than usual tonight.

“You look happy to have found that new friend,” I said, leaning back in my chair.

He nodded, almost shyly. “Yes, she’s cute, right? She also responds when I talk to her.”

I felt a quiet sense of happiness for him in silence. Barry rarely opened up about liking someone. Being treated as an outcast in our family for years had made him cautious around people, especially women. Seeing him show even this small interest in Alana was… nice.

I stood up and walked toward the window, looking out at the academy grounds. “Just be careful,” I warned softly. “She’s an omega and a scholarship student. You know how complicated things can get.”

Barry nodded again, but the smile didn’t leave his face. “I know, Alpha. I’m not expecting anything. It’s just… she seems different. She doesn’t look at me like the others do.”

I understood what he meant. Most people in our circle either pitied him or avoided him because of his background as my father’s illegitimate son. But from what I had seen earlier, Alana didn’t carry that same judgment in her eyes.

“By the way, I’ve already prepared your bath supplies for the hot spring, Alpha.”

“Well, thank you, Barry,” I said, appreciating his thoughtfulness as always.

I leaned back in my chair and decided to shift the conversation. “By the way, how are things back home and at the pack?”

Barry had just returned today from the long semester break, while I had stayed behind at Faang Academy to maintain security and stability. The academy was under my family’s control, and I couldn’t afford to leave it unguarded for too long.

He let out a soft sigh before answering, “Not much happened. Everything is still the same as usual.”

He paused, his expression turning slightly bitter.

“And just like always, I’m still being ostracized by the rest of the family, even though I’ve tried so hard to blend in.”

I looked at him quietly.

Barry was my youngest half-brother from a different mother. His mother had died giving birth to him because my father had cheated with an omega mistress.

In the Savagaz Pack, bloodlines were everything. Because Barry carried the blood of that mistress, almost everyone in the family hated him—my mother, my other siblings, and all my aunts. They treated him like an outsider, like a stain on our proud name.

However, I never hated him. Not even for a second. None of it was his fault. He didn’t ask to be born from my father’s mistake. But, the women in our family were highly emotional, and the Savagaz Pack was largely dominated by powerful females who held influence. Even my father—known as the cruelest and most ruthless Alpha among all packs—couldn’t act firmly to protect Barry. Our enemies often whispered that my father was weak when it came to his women. That was how they saw him.

“Everyone still praises your name even when you’re not there,” Barry continued, trying to sound positive.

I shook my head lightly and walked over to him, placing a firm hand on his shoulder.

“It doesn’t matter what they say. You have me as your older brother, your friend, and your family. Don’t ever forget that. As long as I’m here, you’ll always have someone on your side.”

Barry looked up at me with grateful eyes. He was a good kid—a respectful nineteen-year-old who had grown into a fine young man despite everything.

Because I had always treated him with kindness and fairness, he insisted on calling me “Alpha” as a sign of deep respect.

At this academy, I had personally made him the senior male dorm president. He deserved the role and handled it responsibly.

After I finished bathing in the hot spring, I felt refreshed and relaxed. The warm water had eased the tension in my muscles after a long day. I stepped back into the room with only a towel wrapped around my waist.

“Barry,” I called out. “I want to invite Thania here.”

Barry immediately understood what I meant and gave a small nod.

“And please find our roommate, the new girl. Tell her not to come back to the room until I’m done with Thania,” I added.

“Understood, Alpha,” Barry replied obediently before leaving the room to carry out my orders.

Thirty minutes passed.

I had already dimmed the lights, leaving only a soft, warm glow in the room.

When a soft knock sounded on the door, I smirked. It must be Thania. She was the only woman who had been able to satisfy my sexual desires since I was eighteen. Now, at twenty-six, she still knew exactly how to please me.

I opened the door, not bothering to turn on the bright lights.

Without saying a word, I pulled her inside, closed the door, and lifted her up effortlessly. Her body felt lighter than I remembered. I carried her straight to my bed and laid her down.

We didn’t waste any time. I kissed her hungrily, my hands roaming over her body as desire burned through me.

“Oh fuck… it’s been so long since I last fucked you,” I growled against her skin. “You’re so tight.”

I buried my face in her neck, inhaling deeply as I positioned myself between her thighs. But something felt off. This scent… it wasn’t Thania’s usual sharp, seductive perfume.

Instead, this aroma was sweet, calming, and strangely comforting. It wrapped around my senses like a warm blanket.

Then I noticed her mouth carried the faint smell of alcohol.

Confusion hit me. Thania rarely drank.

I reached over and switched on the bedside lamp.

Fuck!

My entire body froze.

It wasn’t Thania.

The girl lying beneath me with flushed cheeks and hazy eyes was Alana—our new omega roommate.

Her oversized black hoodie was pushed up, revealing smooth skin. Her messy bun had come loose, and strands of hair framed her face. She looked disoriented, clearly tipsy from whatever she had drunk. Her lips were slightly parted, and her breathing was quick.

For a few seconds, I couldn’t move. My thick cock was completely sheathed inside her wet heat. She felt so good it was almost painful to stay still. Her scent was driving me crazy, awakening something primal in me.

“Alpha…?” Alana murmured softly, her voice drunk and disoriented.

I stared down at her in shock. My heart slammed violently against my chest. This was the worst possible mistake. The scholarship girl who had just moved into our room today had my cock buried deep inside her pussy.

I should pull out.

I knew I should.

But her walls fluttered around me, and her sweet scent kept flooding my senses, making my body refuse to obey.

What the hell had I just done?

The material was soft, expensive, and carried a scent… that felt very familiar.A strong, warm, masculine scent with a hint of wood. The exact same scent as last night—Connor Savagaz’s scent.Shit!“Why did it have to be me?” I whispered in frustration.Without thinking, I quickly threw the blanket off with a harsh motion and tossed it onto the floor as if it could burn my skin.My heart pounded violently. Alana’s POV"Why do you look so surprised?" Alpha Connor asked in a deep, calm voice.Shit. I would never call him Alpha in my head. That title was too respectful for the son of a ruthless murderer like his father. From now on, he was just Connor to me. But in front of him, I had to pretend to be respectful and act like I held no grudge at all. This was the hardest part, but for the sake of revenge, I would do it.I lowered my head even further and answered softly, “Ugh, no, Alpha. I’m just surprised that I have to share a room with an Alpha like you—the owner of Faang Academy. It’s truly a great honor for me, Honorable Alpha.”He didn’t respond to my words at all. I didn’t dare lift my face to see his expression either. Then, Connor walked straight past me. His strong, masculine scent swept across my nose, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.“I’m heading to the gym,” he said flatly to Barry. “I’ll be back tonight. Prepare warm water for my bath.”“Yes, Alpha,” Barry rep

Alana’s POV“So your name is just Alana?” he asked as he walked beside me.I nodded slightly. “Yeah. Just Alana.”Finally, I arrived at Faang Academy alongside the man I had met on the train earlier. After we stepped off the train, he asked for my name while guiding me toward the academy gates. As soon as we passed through the massive entrance and headed toward the main building, the atmosphere changed completely. The air felt heavier, thick with the scent of powerful wolves. I quietly inhaled while scanning the area, trying to sense the presence of the Lunar Sword the way my uncle had once described it.My uncle had described it clearly: the Lunar Sword carried an unnatural scent—sweet ripe berries drenched in thick, skunky cannabis smoke, and a sharp acrid ammonia bite. Loud. Pungent. The kind of scent that cut through everything else and clung to the back of the throat. It was supposed to stand out like a scream in silence.I kept inhaling, scanning the grounds with every sense I p

Alana’s POV“Don’t ever fucking sleep with him!” “Don’t fall in love with him!”My uncle reminded me over and over again. Every time, I answered firmly that I had already promised countless times I would never fall in love with him.“Baron, NEVER!” I said as I shoved clothes into the open suitcase lying on the bed.The person he meant was Connor Savagaz—the son of our enemy.Rumor had it that the man was incredibly handsome. They said any girl who looked into his eyes for more than three seconds instantly fell in love. And once they fell for him, they supposedly lost all sense of reason. But honestly, I thought those rumors were complete bullshit.Baron sat in his wheelchair. He rolled closer to my room and stopped beside me. I knelt in front of him. His large hands gripped my shoulders, patting them gently as he said, “I’m just afraid you’ll get swept up by the rumors surrounding him. In the end, you might fail to avenge our family against Pack Savagaz.”“Because the only thing that
