LOGINAlana’s POV
"Why do you look so surprised?" Alpha Connor asked in a deep, calm voice.
Shit. I would never call him Alpha in my head. That title was too respectful for the son of a ruthless murderer like his father. From now on, he was just Connor to me. But in front of him, I had to pretend to be respectful and act like I held no grudge at all. This was the hardest part, but for the sake of revenge, I would do it.
I lowered my head even further and answered softly, “Ugh, no, Alpha. I’m just surprised that I have to share a room with an Alpha like you—the owner of Faang Academy. It’s truly a great honor for me, Honorable Alpha.”
He didn’t respond to my words at all. I didn’t dare lift my face to see his expression either. Then, Connor walked straight past me. His strong, masculine scent swept across my nose, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
“I’m heading to the gym,” he said flatly to Barry. “I’ll be back tonight. Prepare warm water for my bath.”
“Yes, Alpha,” Barry replied politely.
Without glancing at me again, Connor left the room and closed the door behind him.
Only after his footsteps faded away could I finally release the breath I had been holding. Barry turned to me and gave a faint smile.
“Alpha Connor always bathes with warm water from the well behind the academy,” he explained. “That well has natural hot springs. He loves it.”
I nodded slowly, pretending to be interested. “If I may ask… what’s your relationship with Alpha Connor? Are you his beta?”
Barry shook his head with a mysterious smile. “No, I am not. It’s complicated. You’ll find out one day.”
His answer only made me more curious, but I chose to stay quiet. Barry didn’t seem like the type who gave up his secrets easily.
“Why would an Alpha want to sleep in a regular dorm room like this?” I asked. “Shouldn’t he have a special room or even his own building?”
Barry smiled faintly as he folded clothes. “Alpha Connor is very humble. To him, everyone is equal here at the academy. He doesn’t like special treatment, so he chooses to stay in the senior dorm just like everyone else.”
In my heart, I snorted.
So he was the “good Alpha” type? Or was Barry just feeding me bullshit?
I pretended to nod in understanding and continued, “But I heard… he can be quite ruthless.”
“Yes,” Barry answered flatly. “He is ruthless when dealing with enemies.”
His answer caught me slightly off guard—because I was his enemy. If he ever found out who I really was, I would surely experience that ruthlessness firsthand.
“But don’t worry,” Barry added in a lighter tone. “As long as you don’t betray him or the Savagaz Pack, he’s not the type to hurt people for no reason. He’s pretty fair.”
Fair? I almost laughed bitterly. His father killed my parents in front of me, raped my mother’s corpse, and stole everything from Pack Reed. Was that what they called “fair”?
I gave a small nod. “Thank you for the explanation.”
Barry then easily lifted my suitcase and carried it to the empty closet beside the empty bed. “This is your closet and bed. Go ahead and put your things here. Rest well, Alana.”
“Thank you, Barry,” I said quietly.
After Barry stepped out onto the balcony, I sat on the edge of my new bed. My eyes scanned the room, which was quite luxurious for a dorm. Connor’s bed was closest to the window, Barry’s was in the middle, and mine was by the door.
I bit my lip hard. Of all the possible roommates, why did I have to end up sharing a room with Connor Savagaz? The son of my greatest enemy. The blood I wanted to wipe off the face of the earth more than anything.
Well, anyway, I had to focus on my main mission here, which was finding the Lunar Sword. Once I found it, killing Connor would become much easier. I hoped I could locate that sword before they moved me to the omega dormitory.
I picked up the student handbook given to me at the administration office earlier and read it carefully. It turned out omega students must wear the omega uniform while on academy grounds and must attach an omega pin to their left chest when leaving the complex. I continued reading, and my eyes widened when I reached the list of prohibited places.
In my heart I smiled coldly. If they forbade students from entering those places, it meant they were hiding something important there. Including the Lunar Sword. I memorized the locations one by one. Tonight I would start sneaking in.
****
Night fell.
I planned to leave the academic building. I wore an oversized black hoodie that covered my body, paired with short jean hotpants and my hair tied into a messy bun. The omega pin was already attached to my left chest. Right as I was about to step out of the room, the door opened from outside. Connor entered with his body still slightly sweaty after his gym workout. His tight black t-shirt clung to his body, showing off his broad chest and perfectly muscled arms. His biceps stood out clearly every time he moved, and his tanned skin glistened with sweat. His sharp face with a strong jaw and piercing blue eyes looked very masculine, sexy, and for some reason strangely attractive even though I hated him so much.
He really was exactly as the rumors described—dangerous yet captivating.
I told myself that I only looked at his face for two seconds, then I lowered my head.
"Where are you going?" he asked in a low, deep voice.
"Alpha, I am going to buy some personal items at the minimarket in front. I already read the Faang Academy map earlier. The minimarket is across from the main building."
Connor did not answer right away. He simply took the small towel hanging around his neck and wiped the sweat from his hair and nape with a casual motion while walking past me and deeper into the room.
I did not wait any longer. I slipped out and closed the door behind me.
I decided to go to Club Gezi. It was one of the places listed as prohibited in the academy handbook. The location was outside the Faang Academy complex, quite far if I walked. But precisely because it was forbidden, I was sure the Lunar Sword might be hidden there.
When I arrived in front of the club, soft music sounded from inside. I saw many omega students coming here. I had just entered when three omega girls approached me with friendly smiles.
"Hi! You are a new student, right?" asked one of them with long straight hair.
I nodded. "Yeah, just today."
The three of them immediately welcomed me warmly. Two had long hair and one had short curly hair. They looked relaxed and carefree, something I rarely saw among omegas.
"Where do you stay?" asked the curly-haired girl with curiosity.
I answered a little nervously, "The academy made a mistake. They have not arranged my room in the omega dormitory yet. So for now I am placed in another room."
"Oh, poor you. So where are you sleeping right now?" asked another one.
I hesitated for a moment before answering, "I am rooming with the senior male dorm president, Barry."
All three girls widened their eyes almost at the same time.
"What?!" they exclaimed almost together.
"That means you are rooming with two Alphas? The owners of Faang Academy too? Wow, you are so lucky!" said the long-haired girl with an envious tone.
I smiled awkwardly and nodded slowly. But something bothered me. They said two Alphas? But in that room there was only Connor.
I clarified carefully, "Oh no, not two Alphas. Just one... Alpha Connor."
The curly-haired girl laughed lightly. "Yes, but Barry is also an Alpha. He is Alpha Connor's younger brother.”
ALANAThat morning, I woke up with a heavy head that throbbed painfully, as if someone was stabbing it repeatedly.Soft morning sunlight filtered through the gaps in the window curtains.I glanced at the wall clock and saw that it was already six in the morning. My body felt extremely weak. With great difficulty, I tried to sit up on the edge of the bed while holding my dizzy head. That was when I realized a thick blanket was covering my body. This blanket wasn’t mine. The material was soft, expensive, and carried a scent… that felt very familiar.A strong, warm, masculine scent with a hint of wood. The exact same scent as last night—Connor Savagaz’s scent.Shit!“Why did it have to be me?” I whispered in frustration.Without thinking, I quickly threw the blanket off with a harsh motion and tossed it onto the floor as if it could burn my skin.My heart pounded violently. Vague memories from last night began flashing through my mind.“Good morning, Alana,” Barry’s gentle voice greeted
ALPHA CONNOR"Alpha, where is she?" Barry asked as soon as he stepped into the room.I glanced up from the papers on my desk. “You mean the new girl who’s staying with us?”Barry nodded. “Yes, Alana.”“She went out for a bit,” I replied calmly. “She said she needed to buy some personal items at the minimarket.”Barry smiled, a small but genuine smile that reached his eyes. I studied him for a moment. He looked lighter than usual tonight.“You look happy to have found that new friend,” I said, leaning back in my chair. He nodded, almost shyly. “Yes, she’s cute, right? She also responds when I talk to her.”I felt a quiet sense of happiness for him in silence. Barry rarely opened up about liking someone. Being treated as an outcast in our family for years had made him cautious around people, especially women. Seeing him show even this small interest in Alana was… nice.I stood up and walked toward the window, looking out at the academy grounds. “Just be careful,” I warned softly. “She’s

Alana’s POV“So your name is just Alana?” he asked as he walked beside me.I nodded slightly. “Yeah. Just Alana.”Finally, I arrived at Faang Academy alongside the man I had met on the train earlier. After we stepped off the train, he asked for my name while guiding me toward the academy gates. As soon as we passed through the massive entrance and headed toward the main building, the atmosphere changed completely. The air felt heavier, thick with the scent of powerful wolves. I quietly inhaled while scanning the area, trying to sense the presence of the Lunar Sword the way my uncle had once described it.My uncle had described it clearly: the Lunar Sword carried an unnatural scent—sweet ripe berries drenched in thick, skunky cannabis smoke, and a sharp acrid ammonia bite. Loud. Pungent. The kind of scent that cut through everything else and clung to the back of the throat. It was supposed to stand out like a scream in silence.I kept inhaling, scanning the grounds with every sense I p
Alana’s POV“Don’t ever fucking sleep with him!” “Don’t fall in love with him!”My uncle reminded me over and over again. Every time, I answered firmly that I had already promised countless times I would never fall in love with him.“Baron, NEVER!” I said as I shoved clothes into the open suitcase lying on the bed.The person he meant was Connor Savagaz—the son of our enemy.Rumor had it that the man was incredibly handsome. They said any girl who looked into his eyes for more than three seconds instantly fell in love. And once they fell for him, they supposedly lost all sense of reason. But honestly, I thought those rumors were complete bullshit.Baron sat in his wheelchair. He rolled closer to my room and stopped beside me. I knelt in front of him. His large hands gripped my shoulders, patting them gently as he said, “I’m just afraid you’ll get swept up by the rumors surrounding him. In the end, you might fail to avenge our family against Pack Savagaz.”“Because the only thing that
