Alana’s POV

“Don’t ever fucking sleep with him!”

“Don’t fall in love with him!”

My uncle reminded me over and over again. Every time, I answered firmly that I had already promised countless times I would never fall in love with him.

“Baron, NEVER!” I said as I shoved clothes into the open suitcase lying on the bed.

The person he meant was Connor Savagaz—the son of our enemy.

Rumor had it that the man was incredibly handsome. They said any girl who looked into his eyes for more than three seconds instantly fell in love. And once they fell for him, they supposedly lost all sense of reason.

But honestly, I thought those rumors were complete bullshit.

Baron sat in his wheelchair. He rolled closer to my room and stopped beside me. I knelt in front of him. His large hands gripped my shoulders, patting them gently as he said, “I’m just afraid you’ll get swept up by the rumors surrounding him. In the end, you might fail to avenge our family against Pack Savagaz.”

“Because the only thing that can stop revenge is… love,” he continued.

I shook my head firmly. “I promise, Baron. I, Alana Reed, will never fall in love with the son of the enemy who murdered my parents!”

My uncle gave a faint smile. His grip on my shoulders tightened. “I believe you. Once you obtain the Lunar Sword, kill them all. Take back everything they stole from Pack Reed. Then come home.”

I nodded confidently. I stood up, picked up my suitcase, and gave him a brief hug.

“I’m leaving, Baron. Don’t forget to take your medicine. I left enough savings for you to live on while I’m gone.”

“Wait for me to come back in one month,” I continued.

Because I had already promised myself I would only search for the Lunar Sword there for one month. After that, under the full moon, I would slaughter every last descendant of the Savagaz bloodline.

He nodded slowly. “Be careful, my niece.”

I left our small house and headed to Faang Academy—the academy for young wolves owned by Pack Savagaz.

Eight years ago, when I was only eleven years old, the leader of Pack Savagaz, Alpha Alaric, had slaughtered my family. They killed my mother and father, stole everything we owned, and left only me and my uncle, who was crippled by the war.

Now my rank had fallen drastically—from a future Luna to an omega. All I had left was my sickly uncle, who depended on regular medication and could not work at all.

For the past eight years, I had worked tirelessly to support the two of us. From morning until afternoon, I worked as a maid in the homes of wealthy betas.

For seven years, I had trained without rest, preparing myself for this day of revenge.

But to kill them, I first had to find the Lunar Sword hidden somewhere around Faang Academy. That legendary heirloom sword was the only weapon capable of killing the descendants of Savagaz. According to legend, their bloodline was nearly immortal. Ordinary weapons could not kill them.

Only the Lunar Sword could.

And I was going to take it.

I boarded the train heading to Faang Academy and chose the very last car. Sitting alone on the worn-out wooden seat, I stared out the window. The trees rushing past couldn’t distract my thoughts.

My hatred for Alpha Alaric Savagaz and his family had reached its peak.

What I could never accept was when he murdered my parents right in front of me. My father’s head was sliced off with one swing of his sword, and then… his rogues raped my mother’s corpse in front of my eyes. I still remembered every single detail—the smell of blood, the cut-off screams, and their savage laughter. It was a hell that had never faded from my memory.

That was why I could never forgive them for as long as I lived.

For seven years, I had been preparing for this moment. While other girls my age spent their days laughing with friends, dreaming about mates, or living peacefully inside their packs, I spent mine drowning in blood, sweat, and hatred. Every single day of my life revolved around one goal only: revenge. I trained relentlessly until my muscles burned and my hands bled, forcing my body to become stronger no matter how many times I collapsed from exhaustion. My uncle taught me how to fight, how to survive, and most importantly, how to kill. I learned how to use knives, how to move silently through the dark, and how to strike before my enemy could even react. At night, while the rest of the world slept peacefully, I hunted alone in the wild forests surrounding our village, tracking dangerous creatures through freezing rain and darkness just to sharpen my instincts. Fear stopped existing for me a long time ago.

The entire family of Alpha Alaric Savagaz… and the whole Savagaz Pack, were waiting for me.

The future Luna of the pack they destroyed was coming back. I would take back every right they stole from me and make them pay for every drop of blood they spilled.

While I was lost in thought, staring out the window, a tall man sat in the seat beside me.

“Excuse me,” he said softly.

I turned my head. The man was incredibly tall, around 6’3, with messy brown hair and a pair of sharp blue eyes. He was wearing a navy-blue uniform with red trim. It was the elite uniform, worn only by students from influential families at Faang Academy.

His gaze drifted to my black uniform with white trim—the Wolf uniform for omega students—before a small smile appeared on his face.

I immediately tightened my grip on the bag resting on my lap, my entire body going tense the moment he sat beside me. My fingers curled tightly around the worn fabric strap as instinct took over. I was fully prepared to fight back if he dared to mock me or look down on me like the others usually did. Upper-class wolves like him often treated omegas as if we were beneath them, like weak creatures born only to obey and entertain stronger wolves.

“You’re a student at Faang Academy?” he asked in a friendly tone.

Well, he really did sound friendly.

I nodded slightly. “Yeah. I’m a new student admitted through the scholarship program.”

His expression instantly brightened. “Oh, then I’m your senior,” he said with a light laugh. “Nice to meet you, new junior.”

“And… welcome to Faang Academy.”

ALANAThe warning sirens blared deafeningly, shattering the night's silence throughout the Faang Academy complex. Red emergency lights flashed and swept across the area, casting wild, dancing shadows on the stone corridor walls.Inside the steamy Hot Spring Well area, Barry and I stood panting heavily. My breathing was ragged, and my right hand, which had just gripped the hilt of the Lunar Sword, now felt emptier than ever. The sword had vanished. There was no trace of metal, no silver hilt radiating the sweet scent of mixed berries, and not even a damp mark on my palm. My skin was completely clean, as though the legendary weapon inherited from Pack Reed had never existed in my grasp in the first place."W-where...?" I stammered, panic striking me instantly. I searched the area around the empty stone altar.Empty. Bare. Nothing.Barry, who had been standing above me, hurried down to help me out of the water. His face had turned deathly pale as he stared around in utter disbelief."I..

ALANAThe words hung in the air, competing with the hiss of boiling hot water churning inside the ancient well.I stood frozen, staring at Barry's face illuminated by the dim glow of the torches mounted on the walls. There was no hesitation in his eyes, only desperation intertwined with a love that was rapidly approaching the edge of sanity. How was this possible? The man standing before me was a member of the Savagaz bloodline, the very family that had made my life a living hell. Yet here he was, offering me the key to his own family's destruction simply to earn a place in my heart."You're... not playing games with me, are you, Barry?" My voice trembled slightly as the dagger in my hand gradually loosened, though I still hadn't fully placed my trust in him.Barry shook his head slowly. He gently withdrew his hand from my grip on the dagger, then cupped my cheeks with his warm palms. His touch was so sincere that it sent a shiver down my spine as I realized just how deeply his obsess

  • Slipped Inside the Alpha I Hated   33: All For His Love...for Me

ALANAThe night grew darker as thick clouds covered the glow of the full moon above Faang Academy. I had memorized the route to the back of the academy by heart. Taking advantage of the relaxed security measures granted by the blood contract approved by the council, which allowed me to explore restricted areas when accompanied or conducting investigative missions, I deliberately slipped away during the shift change between the guards.I had only one destination tonight: the Hot Spring Well, an ancient hot spring located behind the academy complex.I wore a fitted black outfit, protecting myself against the bone-chilling cold. My footsteps were nearly silent as I leaped over the old stone fence surrounding the restricted area. Thick clouds of warm steam rose into the night air, mingling with the pungent smell of natural sulfur emanating from the well. The surroundings were eerily quiet. Several torches mounted on the stone walls left behind by the Savagaz ancestors cast frightening sha

  • Slipped Inside the Alpha I Hated   32: The Relentless Whispers

ALANAThe morning air at Faang Academy felt much colder than usual as the black car carrying us passed through the main iron gates. The three-hour journey from the Savagaz estate had left us surrounded by long stretches of silence, but it was no longer the awkward silence we had shared before. An invisible weight hung between us, a lingering consequence of our conversation on the hill and the gentle touches that had nearly made me forget the very reason I had come here in the first place. As soon as the car stopped near the dormitory, Connor got out. He opened the door for me and offered his hand to steady me as I stepped out. His gaze was so intense, as if he needed to make sure I was all right after everything that had happened at his family's estate."I have a few things to take care of with the academy council," Connor whispered, his voice low and reassuring against my ear. "I will come see you tonight."I simply nodded, avoiding prolonged eye contact because I was afraid my racin

  • Slipped Inside the Alpha I Hated   31: May I Kiss You?

ALANAConnor led me down a narrow path behind the main building, far from the bustling servants and family members who usually passed through the area. His hand still felt warm in mine, his fingers intertwined with mine as if we had been doing this for years, even though we had only begun to get to know each other more deeply a few days ago.“Where are we going, anyway?” I asked, following his steady steps along the stone pathway.“You will see,” he replied, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. It was a rare sight, especially in this residence, where cold stares and rigid rules seemed to govern everything. We eventually reached a small hill at the edge of the estate, high enough to overlook the entire territory of Pack Savagaz. From there, I could see everything spread out below us, from the main compound and sprawling gardens to the forest surrounding the entire territory. The afternoon sun was beginning to set, painting the sky in soft shades of orange and purple.“This

ALANA"I know a place you might like," Barry said, his eyes shining with genuine excitement. He led me along a narrow path on the eastern side of the garden, far from the main building, toward an old wooden pavilion half-hidden behind a cluster of willow trees. Its white paint had begun to fade, but the delicate carvings on each pillar were still clearly visible, showing how beautiful the place must have been in its prime."This was my mother's old greenhouse," Barry said softly as he opened the wooden door, which creaked from years of disuse. "Before she passed away, she used to spend a lot of time here."I stepped inside slowly, greeted by the scent of damp earth mixed with the fragrance of wildflowers growing haphazardly in cracked pots and on weathered wooden shelves. Sunlight filtered through the dusty glass panes, casting soft patterns of shadows across the floor."It's beautiful," I murmured honestly, touching one of the vines that had somehow managed to survive despite being l
