Chapter 5
Violet's pov.
Crystal's threat lingered on my skin, even when she left.
My body remained numb, and I couldn't speak a word.
Just my hands moved like robots whilst arranging the rest of my stuff, as I tried to shake off the tension her words put inside me.
Nessa was back in the room, curiosity plagued her face more than ever.
This time, I was in no mood to entertain whatever questions she had.
“What did she want from you?” She asked.
I had my back turned to her, and hugged my little fluffy worn out teddy till sleep enveloped me.
By the time I woke up, hunger pangs knackered at the pit of my stomach.
Nessa already left the room, without waking me.
So much for being the roommate that wanted to help
Thankfully, the school cafeteria is always open and it was easy to find as other students trooped towards it.
With a small plastic tray in hand I joined the queue to get breakfast.
“Oops, sorry.” I apologized to the boy in front of me.
I flinched in expectation of a haughty comeback to my apology.
Instead, I received a flashy smile revealing the perfect dentition.
He was tall and had brown hair that was parted in the centre and dimples that could kill
Ohh no, this school must be filled with hot looking guys.
“It's no problem, you must be new here, I'm Shane.” He extended a hand
I stared at his outstretched hand like a Dumbo.
“Move eyebrows.”
Someone shoved me from behind so I crashed onto Shane with all my weight.
“S,s, so sorry.” I stammered.
I was never a clumsy person.
On the bright side, I haven't gotten my breakfast yet, or I'll have to delay cleaning Shane's expensive uniform.
Shane's finger held my arms tight to save me from falling completely.
“You got a nickname already, not bad.” He teased in a sweet voice.
The colour of my face drained instantly, not him, I don't think I want him calling me eyebrows.
I manoeuvred past him, got my serving and rushed away without another word.
A humiliating morning for me.
My eyes scanned the cafeteria for a good place to sit when I caught sight of the triplets at the far end of the cafeteria, surrounded with students who stood at their beck and call.
Crystal sat on Dylan's lap, running her hands through his head while Damian had a dull guilty look in his eyes as he watched them.
Derek on the other hand was busy demonstrating his basketball skills to the jocks while the cheerleaders fawned over him.
Crystal's eyes locked on mine, her face turned into a scowl, a reminder of what she told me yesterday.
I heaved a sigh and headed for the nearest empty table.
I dropped my tray on the table so I can sit when a shrill cry escaped my lips.
“Ahhh.” I screamed, hand to my chest.
Shane had his flirty smile plastered on.
“Don't do that.” I warned him.
“Sorry,” he mumbled.
“I saw that you are alone, no friends yet I see.”
Urgh, why is he here?.
“I don't need friends.” I snapped as I pinned the fork into the spread of omelette.
“We can be friends, you know?”
As attractive as he was, I can't help but have this underlying feeling to his approach.
I slapped my hands on the table softly, before looking at his charming eyes.
“What do you want?No one's talking to me except you, so I kind of find it odd.”
He folded his arms and sucked in air through his teeth loudly.
“Tskkk, three reasons.” He put up three fingers.
“Okayyyy” I drawled slowly.
“First of all, you are incredibly pretty and I find you attractive and hard to ignore, second.” He ticked off two fingers.
“I believe we're going to be good together, partners, if you do mind.”
My heart was already doing a sprint due to his last words.
“Third, I noticed the look Crystal gave you when you walked in the cafeteria.” He ticked off his last finger.
“You mean the death stare.” I mumbled as I shoved a forkful of eggs into my mouth.
Shane shook his head slightly.
“That isn't Crystal's death stare, it's actually her scary look, I know her death stare when I see it.”
I stopped chewing for a second.
“How do you know it, were you like close friends or something?”
“Nope, cousins.”
“What?” I almost choked on my meal.
“Cousins!!”
“Don't be too surprised, we don't get along at all, we are more like eternal enemies, we will get back to that another time, as for the scary look she gave you, you have something on her, don't you?”
I blinked rapidly as the lump of food went down my throat in a slow motion.
How did he find that out?, he must know Crystal well enough to catch on to her moods.
“I don't know what you are talking about.” I lied.
He inched closer to the table, grasping the edge like he was scared to fall off.
“Come on, this is a big chance you've got. Spill what you know and it'll help end Crystal's bullying dynasty.”
I threw him a weird look, I have no interest in getting involved with Crystal, besides I owe it to Damian more not to speak than Crystal.
“Whatever, it's none of my business, and I sure as hell I'm not spilling.”
He rose to his feet, disappointment hung from his shoulders.
“You'd be doing a lot of good by not holding on to Crystal's secret, she's scared of you.”
I gave him a half hearted smile.
“I'd like to go back to my breakfast now, I've got a long first day ahead of me.”
His response was a tap on the table before wandering off.
Breakfast had already gone cold, I had no choice but to eat it, lest I starve.
The fork was midway to my mouth when I sensed a familiar presence in front of me.
“Really, Shane McKenzie. You're better off as a loner, scrawny.” Damian's annoying voice seeped into my ears.
The fork dropped on the plate in a clatter.
‘Can I just have a minute of peace to eat my breakfast?’ I screamed in my head.
“Not now, Damian, I have registration to complete.” I tried to ignore him.
As expected, my words only made Damian feel the need to irk me more.
“Humour me, Vi.” He said with all seriousness.
The pet name the triplets gave me to make me feel calm in awkward situations.
“Humor you about what? That a guy in school found it nice to talk to me suddenly seems like a crime to you?”
Damian chuckled, his hair bounced as he chuckled, it looked glossier than usual
“You're as clueless as ever, the first guy that pays you attention in school and you're already drooling.” He smirked.
My teeth clenched at the accusation.
“I wasn't drooling,”
Then I raised my chin high.
“Even if I was, I don't see how that's any of your business.”
“He's Crystal's cousin, so be careful.”
“I already know that.” I shot back, yeah, he needs to know I'm updated as well.
Damian lowered his voice before speaking again.
“What I mean is, he has the same sexual appetite as his cousin, and he definitely smelt your virginity from a mile away and can tell that you're a prude.” He laughed.
That's it, I've had enough of him, calling out my virginity like a class subject even though he was quiet about it struck my nerve
Plus, prude, I'm quite aware of every sexual talks out there.
“I'll show you prude.” I snarled.
It was payback time.
I stormed off to where Dylan and De
rek were. Crystal was still sitting on his lap.
“Buzz off maid.” Crystal jeered at me.
Ohh, I'll buzz off, not before.
“Dylan, you need to know, that Crystal and Damian are having sex.”
Chapter 21Violet's pov.“Mate? I am your mate?”It didn't sound normal as it came out of my mouth.I'm supposed to be thrilled, happy, the jock of the triplets, Derek with the nice hair and nice body just said I'm his mate.“Yes you are, so whatever deal you've got with those girls, you better terminate it.”I was too speechless to say anything. I've been attracted to the triplets since forever. They have all been acting strange around me, Dylan suddenly kissing me, and almost having sex, Damian inviting me for a three-some.Although, I don't know why I am surprised by that, it's something Damian would ask any female. Now, I have Derek in front of me, telling me I'm his mate. Why don't I feel it too, or is it because I haven't discovered my wolf yet?“I just need some time to wrap my head around this news.”“There's nothing to think about, you belong to me now.”He came closer and his eyes twinkled dangerously hot“Don't try to set me up with any girl, that's a warning.”I gulped ha
Violet's pov. What in the world was Damian thinking to have asked me such?.It was bad enough that I have to give in to these girls promiscuous request, then Damian asking me to torture myself by watching him do whatever the hell he plans to do with Nessa and other females in the school. Not just watch, but join as well.I shiver at the thought, Nessa and the who are in queue for Damian will be thrilled to find out that he is in onboard with the plan. One Caspian down, two to go I don't envy know how to broach the topic to Derek.Amongst the triplets, Damian is the most chilvaroius, that's why it was easy to have that kind of discussion with him.Between Dylan and Derek, I don't know which would be the hard nut to crack, not adding the fact that almost sexual if not sexual is going on between Dylan and I.They've never had a problem with having females, it's just that the two of them are quite picky.I already told Nessa to give me twenty four hours before I give her a feedback. That
Dylan's pov.Much to our disagreement, Derek went ahead to inform dad about the mate bond with Violet, and dad said he'd be in school the next day.“Nice try Derek, after we agreed not to, really?”Derek wasn't one to break our pacts, it was either me or Damian.“I had to, it is the best thing, whether you agree to it or not.”I sighed, I don't like arguing with my brothers.“Where the hell is Damian? Did you tell him that dad is coming over, he can't be late.”“I told him and he said he'd be right on time.” Derek said.We were both in the room waiting, I had given Violet orders not to come to our dorm. It's best she doesn't find out that way.A knock on the door and I presumed it was Damian. Why was he knocking? When he can as well come in.I went to open the door, ready to give him a piece of my mind.“Dad.” I blurted in surprise.“Mom?” My surprise just doubled.I looked back at Derek. He shrugged and mouthed.‘I didn't know she'd be coming.’Great, our parents are here, we are abo
Damian's pov.Now that I think about it, I feel like I actually want to have her pinned on my bed, let her feel my weight while I inhale her scent. Her hair looks more shiny and I just feel like touching it.I blurted out the question without thinking. She bit her lower lip to prevent from answering.“Come on Violet, it's just the two of us here, you can tell me.” I winked at her.She took a step back from me, wide eyed.“Will you do it or not?” She asked stubbornly.I don't understand. Why is she not falling for my charm, it works on all the girls. Then I realised something, Violet wasn't just any girl, she's been with me nearly all my life and doesn't seem me that way.“Tell me, since that is what you and the girls talk about, have you ever fantasized about being in bed with me?”I squeezed my lips and gave her my famous flirtatious gaze “No, I don't think I'll want to be on your bed.” she snapped. She doesn't have to make it sound like it's a bad thing.“Okay, I'd do it, on one co
Violets pov.I sat crossed leg, sipping from a bottle of chilled coke without an iota of care in the world.“Don't worry Violet, we got this.” The girls shouted in the laundry room Indeed they do, after Damian dropped their filthy laundry for me in my room I was burdened with the task to get them clean before evening of the following day.The girls, as usual, hounded me with questions of what the guys thought about them.I was so pissed, I could not contain the anger inside me, I exploded into shimmering bits.“Thanks to you all, I have chores to do in school, so whatever favors you have, it's going to wait until I have this ready for them”.I showed them the pile of clothes in my hand. One of the girls grabbed a t-shirt.“This belongs to,” she paused and took in a long sniff “Derek.”“Huh?” I was mystified.“How could you tell?”She giggled softly like a maniac.“His delicious sweat still scents through it, plus I can tell how expanded the shirt is by their shoulder width.”I'm of
Violet's pov.“Derek.” I tried to make my face turn to its usual color instead of red, but it seems he caught on with it.“Why are you here?” He looked past me to Dylan and that was my queue to bolt.I ran as fast as my legs could go, toes barely touching the ground.I didn't even pick the laundry anymore, not while my heart was hammering in my chest like this. When I was a safe distance from the triplets dormitory, I stopped to catch my breath.Wow, I slapped my face three times until I felt the hard sting of my palm.It wasn't a dream, Dylan just made out with me. Like he not only touched me regularly. His finger was inside my wet cage and boy that was more than I could take.I didn't know my body could react like that.I was still biting my lower lip, the thought of my escapade with Dylan ran through my head like a flood.I touched my chest, my heart was still intact.“Violet.” Nessa cried and just like that, my sexual thoughts with Dylan flew out the window of my brain. Her cheeks
