LOGINANGELA
After I had been sold for fifty million dollars, I fainted. When I awoke, I was shocked to see my head resting on someone's thigh. My blue eyes fluttered open, and I recalled that Isabella had said I would be sold as a sex slave to a mafia boss. I felt scared, thinking I had already been taken against my will. But then my eyes landed on him—my elder sister's boyfriend. How could this be? Richard peered at me calmly, his eyes not shifting from mine, his thin lips pressed into a firm line, not bothering to explain anything to me. I glanced down at myself, and thankfully I was still wearing my blue dress. But how had I ended up in a car with him? How did I come to be in the same car as Richard Henshaw? Was he the man who had purchased me? "Please, stop the car. Let me go home, please," I begged him, but the driver didn't bother to stop. It was as if my words fell on deaf ears. *Am I a ghost? Was I killed?* I pinched my legs, wincing at the sharp pain, and Richard quickly grasped my hands away from my legs. "What are you doing, trying to hurt yourself, huh?" His voice came out hot, rough, and alluring. "No," I whispered, trembling, not knowing how I had ended up in a car with him. "Please, let me go home. Why are you the one taking me home? Where are we going?" I asked him, barely recognizing the road his driver was taking. "You belong to me now, Princess. And you shouldn't think you can leave my sight or return to your parents," Richard said, and my jaw dropped. "How? Were you the one who purchased me?" I asked him at last, trembling as I peered at his handsome, dark face. "What does it look like to you, Princess? You were auctioned at the Dark Realm Auction House, and I purchased you. So you should be the one answering my questions, not the other way around. How did you end up there? The auction house doesn't sell illegal commodities. That only tells me you willingly went there to be sold." He grasped my hands, still bound together and untied them. "No. I didn't want to be sold. I cannot agree to be sold to anyone, and you do not own me," I replied, looking at his face in defiance. "I see," Richard muttered, looking away as the car took another turn. "Do you know who I am?" he asked, not bothering to look at my face as he pulled out a stick of cigarette, lit the end, and started smoking. "You're Richard Henshaw. My elder sister's boyfriend," I replied, and he smiled. "Apart from that, do you know what I do for a living?" he asked, his cold voice making my heart quiver. "Um. No, I don't know. But Isabella said you're a mafia boss's son, and your father is Wesley Henshaw," I said, and he nodded. "Good. Since you know who my father is, that means you already know me too. I bought you tonight, and I don't care to know how you ended up putting yourself up for sale, but I must warn you—even your parents can't take you away from me. They know the rules of the mafia in Top Hills City, and my father is the number one mafia boss in this city. So consider yourself warned, Little Princess. You are not to leave my house or try to escape. I will have you branded on your chest so you bear my name wherever you go," Richard said as he smoked his cigarette. "No way. I don't want to be sold. I never wanted anything to do with you. Isabella misunderstood everything. She thought I was trying to steal you from her. Please, let me go home. My sister loves you. Don't brand me with your name. I cannot become your sex slave," I cried, trying to plead with Richard. I felt a little relief that Richard was the one who'd bought me—didn't that mean I could still return home? "Don't touch me!" Richard smacked my hands away as I reached for him, pleading, and he glared at me. "Do you want me to fụck you here in my car? Do you want to experience your first time in this car, huh?" He glared at me, and I shuddered and gulped hard. "No. I don't want it. I don't want you," I muttered, and he smiled. "You will. Just not now." He reached to touch my strand of hair, but I raised my hand and smacked his away. The car pulled to a stop, and I gazed out the tinted window. "We have arrived home. Welcome to my abode, my princess," Richard said, extinguishing his cigarette. "Don't call me that. My name is Angela Moraga, not a princess," I told him through clenched teeth, and he smiled. "I know. And you don't have to correct me. Come out now." Richard got out of the car first, and I felt dread run down my spine. I recalled that my phone was in my handbag, but that was still in Isabella's car. How would I reach my parents? I knew my father's phone number and planned to call him, though my parents had traveled for a business trip to Los Angeles, and I didn't know how they would react to my absence from home. Would they look for me? Would they come and get me away from Richard's grip? How dare Richard Henshaw call me his property. I couldn't imagine sleeping with the same man my sister had been intimate with. I wanted nothing to do with him. So many young women wanted Richard, but I wanted to further my education at Top Hills University, to study medicine and become a surgeon. Tears welled up in my eyes as the driver got out of the car and came to open my back door. Richard had already walked away, and I saw men in black bow and welcome him as he walked up to the front of his mansion. *Was Richard the owner of this magnificent house?* I wondered, as the driver told me, "Come out, Miss. Don't think you can run away. Master Richard is being kind, bringing you here instead of taking you straight to the harem." My brows furrowed, wondering what the man meant. I recalled I wasn't the only one sold. Other young women had been sold too, and Richard had said the auction was legal, meaning all those young ladies had agreed to sell themselves. Was that the truth? What if they had been kidnapped and sold, like me? I silently followed the man who led me into the luxurious white mansion.Isabella's POV:After Ethan left the room, I prepared to step out for dinner. My stomach growled loudly with hunger. When I reached the door and tried to pull it open, the door flew open and slammed into my forehead."What are you doing in here?" Anala appeared at the door and glared at me. She still wore the blue dress she had worn to class that morning. I remembered that Ethan had warned me to stay away from his sister. He had taken her side and slapped me the previous day as a warning."I was getting ready to have my dinner. What did you expect me to do?" I asked her calmly, even as pain throbbed in my head."Did you dare talk back to me?" Anala snarled, stepping forward into my room."Oh, I see you need me to put you in your place. Since you forgot where you are?" She laughed, but I maintained an expressionless face."What do you want?" I asked her calmly, not in the mood for her games. We didn't get along before, and I wasn't hoping to start now."Do you want to know what I want?
Ethan's POV:When I reached home, I watched my driver pull into the driveway and park. As I got out of the car, my bodyguards welcomed me, but I strode into the mansion. The house felt quiet as the maids greeted me upon my arrival.I wanted to retreat to my room on the top floor, but my interest piqued about what Isabella was up to. Had she signed the contract I presented to her?I moved to her door and knocked. There was no response. When I turned the knob, the door unlocked, and I saw Isabella lying on the bed. She appeared peaceful. Her blonde locks scattered over the bed, and her face seemed relaxed. My eyes drank in her exquisite form, and I felt a pang in my heart that I had almost forced myself on her.My father's words replayed in my mind: I had to welcome a bride. Why not marry Isabella? My mind buzzed, but I knew the risk.Getting married as a mafia lord was risky. Our wife could come under attack, and enemies could use that to force us into releasing some of our deals or in
Isabella's POVAs I lay on the bed in my room, sleeping, I felt the intense presence of someone hovering above me.My eyes swung open, and I sprang up immediately, shocked to see that Ethan had returned. He stood next to my bed, his gaze fixated on me. My eyes darted to the wall clock, and I saw it was 4 p.m."Good evening," I greeted Ethan, moving back on the bed. My palms reached for the bedsheet, and I grasped it to cover my chest. When did he return? What was he doing in here?"Have you signed the documents yet?" Ethan asked, his voice dangerously calm, and I dreaded his reaction if I mentioned I hadn't."No. I mean, I want to," I spluttered, getting out of the bed.My heart raced, and I moved to the wooden drawer and swung it open.Sweat broke out on my forehead. I grasped the pen and looked at the file."I don't want to have your child," I said, meeting his gaze."You don't have a say in it. My house, my rules. I purchased you, so I choose what goes on in my home.""It's agains
Angela's POV:After speaking with Isabella on the phone, I felt better for the first time in ages.I turned to return to my class. We had a practical course to study human anatomy. So far, my mind was saturated. My gaze remained focused as I wore the latex glove and concentrated on the lecturer's teaching and description. After a hectic day in class, the day drew to a close as the lecture ended and we were dismissed. When I stepped out of the classroom, Florence walked up to meet me. She held her handbag as we walked side by side."So tell me, Angela. What do you have in mind this weekend? Would you like to attend my party? I am planning on hosting a birthday party," she asked, her tone laced with excitement.Would Richard allow me to attend the party? I didn't know, but I forced a tight smile and looked over at Florence."Florence, I don't know if I will be able to attend your party," I told her, my tone apologetic."Why?" Florence exclaimed sadly. "But I want you to attend it. Pleas
Isabella's POV:When I got back into the room, I sank onto the bed, holding the file in one hand and my phone in the other.A knock on the door startled me. I set the phone and the file on the drawer and moved to the door to see who it was.As I swung the door open, I saw Theresa standing there, holding a tray of food in her hands."I brought your breakfast," she said with a smile, extending the tray to me."Thank you," I replied, taking the tray from her. When I looked at Theresa's smiling face, she asked, "Do you need anything else?""No, I'm fine," I replied. My mind raced as I wondered if Ethan was having an affair with his maids. But I didn't think so. I sighed and moved back into the room, set the tray on the table, and walked back to look at the file.I pulled open the second drawer, picked up the file, and kept it inside. Then I went back to sit on the white chair and have my breakfast.I picked up the soft bread—Theresa had brought three pieces for me. I ate the bread and sip
Isabella's POV:I woke up to the loud banging on the door, and I rushed over to see who was standing there. To my surprise, I was shocked to see Ethan standing there. He wore a black long-sleeve shirt that hugged his masculine chest, paired with black trousers and boots. His face looked smooth and fresh, like he had taken his bath."Do you want to spend time gawking at me this morning?" he asked, his expression firm."No. Sorry. Good morning. Why are you here?" I asked him, gulping heavily. His thick perfume scent filled my nostrils, and he gestured for his assistant, who I hadn't seen with him."We are here to talk business before you leave my house. May I come in? I have some business clients to catch up with," Ethan said, as he stole a glance at his wristwatch."Sure. Come in." I stepped back and made way for him to step into my room. The atmosphere thickened as Ethan strode in, followed by his assistant, who wore black."Leave us, Johnson," Ethan ordered, and the muscular man in b
