"Are you still awake, baby?" Knight softly uttered when he noticed Eleanor was still wide awake even though it was almost midnight. His own mind was also alert due to the multitude of thoughts occupying him.

Eleanor looked at him. "I'm scared..." she whispered softly.

Knight chuckled quietly, as their peacefully sleeping son was positioned between them.

"Of ghosts? There's no—"

"Of the dark auction," Eleanor cut off his joke. Knight sighed then. He knew. He was just trying to lighten the atmosphere.

"Eleanor..." he called her again. This time he was serious.

"Just trust me..." he said softly, looking at the ceiling, then turned his gaze to Eleanor, who was also looking at him at that moment.

"I trust you," she replied, and a smile appeared on Knight's lips.

"If I need to face the entire dark auction. I will do it, just to make sure they won't lay their fingers on you and Lexus," he said seriously, reaching for her cheek and gently pinching it.

"I know. I know, Knight."
