I sat comfortably watching the news, I furrowed my brows in a frown. The news was on about my father's company, taking the remote control I switched the channel I to something more fun.

I was already so bored of old news. They wouldn't see what's coming. My mom walked in with a cheerful laughter, she had this beautiful glow on her face. I was curious to know what it is about.

Seeing me, she applauded. “You seem so happy, what's the gist?” I smiled.

“Darling, something great happened today. When my friends found out you were in town, you needed to have seen their faces. They looked like someone who had eaten poop. Just as you had advised I have some perfumes as a gift, you needed to have seen their reactions. They were so jealous. Anyways, my main aim has been achieved, so why won't I be happy? I feel like celebrating. What would I ever do without you?

I chuckled, “I'm happy they liked the gift.”

She let out a scornful laughter, “Did you say like? No! No! No! They loved it.”
