Chapter 28: Everything to lose.

Alvaro's POV.

Jane was smart. I never doubted that. She was also more observant than I thought she'd be which was both good and bad. After she noticed something odd I told my men to back off and I told that clown Pedro not to wear a mailman costume like a fucking male stripper.

Jane was going to have this baby in a stress-free environment and I was going to make sure of that. After I called off my men for acting like a bunch of idiots and not being subtle. She was no longer suspicious.

Weeks passed and I couldn't find Carlos.

I was starting to think he could be dead by now and that was on me. Whoever took him was smart. I had all the phone lines tapped and I heard not a whisper of him.

I walked on the ship going down to the last deck. This shipment was delayed due to all my efforts going into finding out who took my man just to prove a point.

"Pull the floorboards back," I ordered the two guys with me.

They pulled the boards back and there it was. Rodium. The most expensive metal
