Noah

I woke up the next morning with my body aching all over. Fresh bite marks and bruises covered my neck, shoulders and hips.

I swung my legs down from the bed and hissed in pain. Every small movement reminded me of how Adrian had taken me the night before.

I laid back on the bed, staring at the ceiling for a long moment, feeling sore between my legs and deeply ashamed. The mate bond still hummed beneath my skin, warm and demanding.

Different thoughts ran through my mind. Last night was a mistake and I wasn't going to let it repeat itself.

I felt deep regret. I let the man who rejected me in front of my pack, touch me. How was I going to face him now?

A soft knock sounded at the door, pulling me out of my thoughts. An older woman with kind hazel eyes entered as I quickly pulled the sheets to cover the lower part of my body.

“I am Elena Moore, the palace healer” she said gently, offering me a kind smile which I returned.

She checked my wounds and the lingering effect of wolfsbane from before.

While applying strange lotions on the wound, she spoke in a calm voice, offering quiet support “ You're safe here for now” she whispered. “But be careful who you trust”

I didn't fully understand what she was trying to say and I didn't ask her to explain. I couldn't care less of what would happen to me from here onwards anyway.

My life had practically been stripped from me the moment my pack sold me off to HIM.

I felt a sense of small relief talking to her. She was the first person in the palace who didn't look at me with disgust, anger or lust.

After Elena left, I quickly made my way to the bathroom to take my back. I tried to scrub Adrian scent off me but it wasn't working, and in the end the scrubbing only made my skin so red.

I decided to go out, receive fresh air and distract myself from thinking about him—about what happened last night.

Royal guards followed me everywhere I went and when I told them I was fine on my own, I discovered that I wasn't to leave the royal wing without permission.

Servants brought me find clothes that showed too much skin and I was expecting to stay close whenever the king called.

Adrian summoned me several times and I wasn't allowed to disobey or else I'll be punished. I didn't want to be punished.

Our meetings were tense and charged. Sometimes he will simply stare at me without speaking, his eyes roaming around my body shamelessly. Other times he will pull me close, kissing me hard but stopping before things go further.

Adrian seemed to be fighting with himself.

Later that afternoon, while taking a walk around the garden under guard, I met Alpha Elias Carter of the Redfang pack. It seemed like he visited the palace for a political meeting with Adrian.

The Alpha was a tall confident man, with ash brown hair and sharp green eyes. He carried himself with ease and had a dangerous smile on his face.

The moment his eyes met mine, something flickered in his eyes but I wasn't fast enough to catch what it was. But I was sure it wasn't disgust.

“You must be the one everyone is whispering about” he said with a teasing grin.

He spoke to me with respect, asking questions and listening to my answers carefully. Unlike others, he did not treat me like a cursed omega.

He flirted openly with me, calling me beautiful and saying Adrian was lucky. Well, Adrian might be lucky but I wasn't lucky.

I stayed guarded but I couldn't help the feeling of liking the complements he gave me. Aside from Tyrene, no one else had ever complimented me.

As we talked, the servant serving us tea accidentally slipped. Everything happened so fast, one minute I was talking to Elias, the next minute he was pulling me into his arms.

I was about to question his behavior when I noticed that he had saved me from getting burned. The servant quickly went on her knees and begged for mercy.

I wasn't sure of what to do, I had never been in such a situation before. Actually, I've been in the opposite situation.

“You should thank your lucky stars that nothing happened to him. Leave.” Elias' voice came out low and dangerous.

Suddenly I felt like someone was watching me. I looked at the balcony above and my eyes met with Adrian’s.

He looked like he was angry. His eyes moved from mine and now he was looking at Elias. I watched his jaw tighten as his deep blue eyes drilled an invisible hole in Elias' head.

Noah Elias had been staying at the palace longer than planned. He used every alliance meeting as an excuse to remain close to me. He came looking for me often in the gardens or quiet halls. His interest was open and bold. He flirted shamelessly, touching my arm gently, and repeatedly offered me a better life in Redfang Pack if I chose him. However, something felt off with Adrian and it grew visible daily. His cold blue eyes followed us whenever I and Elias were together. His summons became more frequent and demanding. The tension between the two Alphas thickened daily. One evening, Elias openly challenged Adrian before nobles. He criticized how Adrian always kept me locked up like a prisoner and always treated me like I was trash.Adrian opposed him fiercely, declaring that I belonged to him and he bought me off from his back. Adrian said he could do whatever he wanted with and nobody has the right to question him.“How dare you come to my pack and criticize how I run things here.

NoahThe next few days in the palace felt like a strange prison for me. Adrian kept asking for me at odd hours and sometimes he would ask simple questions about my life in Ashvale pack. And other times he will just watch me without saying anything. I loved times like that, when he would just stare at me without saying anything. Not that I liked the way he looked at me, but because I didn't like talking about my life in Ashvale.I was trying to get used to the fact that I was sold off and my best friend now hated me. I was trying to get used to my new life here, so I didn't like talking about my old pack. The guards Adrian appointed for me, followed me everywhere. From the garden, to the library, they even stood outside the bathroom.I had no breathing space. One afternoon, I took a stroll to the garden—which has become my normal routine— and I met Elias. It looked like he was waiting for me.Elias looked up when he heard us approaching, his eyes met mine and he gave me a warm smile, w

Adrian I stood over the bed, my eyes locked in to Noah's as he struggled to sit up. Confusion clearly written in his eyes.“Please, let me go” his voice came out broken. He looked like he was close to tears.I didn't answer him with words, instead, I climbed the bed and reached for Noah, slowly reached for Noah. I pinned him to the bed, my eyes never leaving his face.I grabbed his wrist with one hand and held it over his head, while the other hand tilted his chin up, forcing his eyes to meet mine.“You are mine now” I growled, my voice low and rough. “I rejected you once, but I bought you. You belong to me now”Different emotions flickered in his eyes as he struggled beneath me and spit out angry words about public humiliation, but his body betrayed him. The mate bond burned hot in his veins.Slick already coats his thighs and his slim frame trembles under my touch.I let go of his chin and moved my hand to tear away the thin silk robe he was putting on with one pull. I heard him ga

  • Sold To The Lycan King Who Ruined Me.    CHAPTER 4

Noah~Something slammed into my side hard enough to drag me out of whatever unconscious state I had fallen into, and the pain that followed wasn’t normal. It spread through my body like something was eating at me from the inside. I sucked in a breath as my eyes snapped open, only for another kick to land against my leg, forcing a small jerk out of me that I quickly tried to stop. “Get up.”I didn’t move immediately, not because I couldn’t, but because my body didn’t respond the way it usually did. My healing had always been fast, almost unnatural, and even after worse injuries, I had never stayed down for long. This time was different. The pain wasn’t fading. It wasn’t even staying the same. It was getting worse.I forced myself up slowly, my back pressing against the cold wall as I tried to steady my breathing. My hand moved to my side without thinking, fingers brushing against the wound, and the moment I felt it, I froze slightly. It hadn’t healed. My fingers came away damp and ha

Noah~PRESENT I ran.I could hear their laughter and see their mocking stares as they said all sorts of cruel things about me.“How dare he call the Lycan King his mate?”“The abomination thought he had a chance.”“Talk about audacity.”I got to the entrance of the hall where the ceremony was held and I found Tyrene there. She looked shocked till she saw me and she turned to me with a very strange expression.“Ty, I–I need to go.”She didn’t reply and if anything, she shifted back a bit and I stared at her but it was as if that expression was no longer there. She smiled and quickly held me.What was that? Her arms wrapped around me tightly, almost too tightly, like she was trying to hold me in place rather than comfort me. I could feel her breathing against my shoulder, uneven, and for a moment, I just stood there, confused, my hands hovering slightly before I slowly let them rest at my sides.“It’s fine,” she murmured, her voice softer than I expected. “Let’s just go home.”Home.Ri
