I waited impatiently for the woman to bring her to me. I heard some noises upstairs but didn’t want to look rude, so I stayed calm, resting my body on the wall. I wore a hat to stop the stares these humans were giving me. I know I looked quite different in stature and features, but I don’t mind because I wasn’t here for them.
I came here for her, and she hasn’t changed a bit, just as I remembered her. I took a deep breath to stop my anger from bursting out because, somehow, I was feeling her pain.
These people have hurt her. I thought they were her family. I could feel Kyle whining in my head, but I didn’t want to cause pain to her family. What if she hates me because of it? So I waited.
Then I perceived her scent, along with her sense of fear and discomfort. I could have taken her away when I saw her, but I wanted to do it in the presence of her family—I wanted to pay according to human rules. She has to belong to me. Only then will I provide her with the affection she lacked.
Seeing her in the room, I raised my head only to lock up with the most beautiful pair of hazel eyes, a pouty lip and the glossiest golden hair ever. She was an ethereal beauty with which even the goddess might want a raincheck of beauty.
She was my goddess.
“Here you are, handsome. You said you would pay 200 dollars for a night with her?” I heard someone say. I didn’t need to look at her to know it must be her mother.
“No. I am buying her,” I said, my eyes still fixed on her,” For 2000 dollars.”
I heard them gasp, but I still wasn’t ready to peel my eyes off the battered angel before me. I so much wanted to beat the hell out of these people, but I held myself back. I just needed her to say that one word, and I was ready to wreak havoc.
“Mister, why buy her when there are many other, more beautiful women? You just need to enjoy her for a night or more before sending her back. Besides, you are lucky because she is still untouched! A virgin!” The woman said, trying to persuade me.
I sneered in my heart. Does she think I don’t know her reasons for saying that? She dare think she could use her as a sex tool?
“I told you, didn’t I? I want to buy her,” I repeated, facing her this time.
“Mister, she is…”
“1 million dollars,” I said, looking at the older woman.
“Deal!” She agreed almost immediately.
I smiled as I threw the suitcase I held toward her, and the money spewed everywhere. I really don’t care.
I could see the younger one staring lustfully at me too, but I didn’t give a damn about her. I just want what’s mine.
Before I could say anything more, she pushed the girl towards me. However, I noticed that the young woman resisted the older woman’s grasp, indicating she did not want to be sold. She must be afraid that I wanted her for the same reasons as the older woman.
“Mother, please! I promise to be good. I promise to look for a job and give you my salary. Please, don’t sell me…” she cried, refusing to budge.
“Are you trying to defy me?” The older woman asked, raising her hand. Before I could stop her, the woman had rained several slaps on her.
Forget about her being her mother! She is mine now!
“How dare you!” I growled as I took the woman and flung her across the room. She must have broken several bones, but I did not kill her. The younger woman shrinks into hiding as her teeth clatter in fear.
“Please, don’t kill me,” the younger girl muttered, shaking all over.
“She is mine!” I said, fighting hard to control my inner self from popping out.
I turned around to see my girl, afraid. I controlled my anger and walked up to her. She moved back a little, but somehow I felt she wasn’t that scared of me.
“I will never hurt you. I promise,” I told her softly, my eyes locked in hers.
“Promise?” She asked.
“Promise,” I assured her.
I watched her come closer to me, her face filled with sadness. I wanted to hold her tightly and tell her everything would be alright, but I held myself back.
“Get your belongings; we are leaving this place,” I told her.
She smiled bitterly before answering,” I don’t have anything.”
I could see how sad she was, but that’s okay because she would have everything she wanted in this world. There is nothing I can’t provide for her.
“Let’s go, then.”
I watched her take a last look at her so-called family before following me. She still looked sad, and I didn’t know how to make her happy. I wanted to make her happy but how?
We walked silently out of the apartment, heading towards the forest. To prevent her from getting too tired, I walked slowly
“Do you live in the upper east side of New York? You look rich,” she said, biting her lips.
I smiled at her naivety. She must have gone through a lot, but still, she maintained her innocence and pure heart. I wonder if I should tell her the truth.
“I live in the forest—deep in the forest,” I said, deciding to go with the truth. After all, she was going to live there with me—an entirely new world to her with me by her side.
“Forest? What… What do you mean? Are you a fugitive?” She asked, her eyes popping out.
I almost burst out laughing, but I stopped myself as I thought how sweet it would be if I were her fugitive.
Just hers alone.

"You came?" You would do same for me."He smiled at her. The pains he had felt around his hands had already ceased as soon as he could feel her hands around his skin, and for a second, his love for the lady had rekindled ten times more than what he had already felt for her.But all of the emotions were cut off just as soon as his eyes had sighted the movement of a rogue wolf approaching them at a very intense speed."You might want to be a bit faster in cutting off this rope!" He said. "Why?" She asked"Because another is coming in our direction," he said. Her eyes immediately turned backwards as she could also sight the rogue wolf running towards them both, and the tension within her spirit had immediately catapulted."Shit!" She groaned as she kept
AUTHOR'S POVHeavy breath accompanied every hasty step she took round the building. Her eyes moved round the entire building, her face beaded with sweat drops as she stood with her hands on waist, seeming lost in the thoughts of something uncertain."My lady..." A voice sounded from behind her which interrupted her train of thoughts, causing her to turn backwards in view of who had called towards her."He's not here! He's not anywhere in the building" Loren said. His eyes were squeezed at the sight of her facial reaction. As soon as Alexandria and Regina was taken away, hurried footsteps were heard coming towards the place they were. It was Loren and Tamara who heard about another poisoning episode."I heard about what happened. Are you both fine?" Loren rushed inside the mansion along with Tamara.Brynlee stopped with what she was doing then stared at the couple who just came in."Loren? Tamara?" Her eyes widened in surprise. Tamara stared at her, surprised then stared at Maverick who gave a short nod."You finally remember us?" She asked with watery eyes. Brynlee nodded frantically and they both held each other screaming."I thank God that everything is fine now," Loren walked towards Maverick. He took a seat on one of the sofas while he watches the ladies. He was about to say something but Maverick phone started ringing. He stared at the buzzing phone and the table."Hello?" Maverick coldly asked. He knew who the caller was and he wondered why he called?"Are you free?" Uncle Berth's voice sounded f
Author's POV"Is it because it's poison?" Willow asked and Alexandra's brows creased together."How dare you give an accusation without proof?" Alexandra thundered."You know what I hate the most? It's dramas. It's either you give her that pie like she requested or get your head on a platter for being a traitor," Brynlee coldly replied."Mr Maverick! Will you let her talk to your guest like that?!" Alexandra accused.Maverick stared at her then back at the pie. If the woman knew how much he pampers his mate, she wouldn't dare ask him that. But for the fact that they are trying to deceive Alexandra, he just had to play along. "Is it truly poisoned?" He calmly asked. Alexandra's eyes widened in disbelief. Why was Maverick suddenly believing them? Didn't he ask her over here because he wanted her help? Wasn't that why he always danced to her tune? "You don't believe me?" She feigned a sad look on her face. Maverick simply stared at her without saying a word. Alexandra's hands tightene

How could I tell her that she was at risk then because I broke the rule of witches?Back then, powerful witches of the royal bloodline were forbidden to mate with humans. Third Person POVUncle's Beth's gaze sharpened as he stared at the shadow standing at the window. There was a moment of silence before it slowly disappeared from there. "What's that?" He muttered as he quickly ran towards the window to check but no one was there. He sighed then turned towards the dressing table. He picked the bottle with serenity and placed it gently inside the drawer."Get ready to meet your demise," He chuckled lightly as he climbed the bed and slept soundly.Hours passed in the blink of an eye and it was morning already. A maid walked towards his room and knocked gently."Sir, breakfast is ready," The maid said but he simply ignored her. He wore his suit and walked past her."Tell the driver to get the car ready. Alexandra's POV"How long have you been here, willow?" I asked the frightened woman before me."It hasn't been long, ma'am. I only came here to inform you that I have to head back home now. She can't spend all her time here without earning from it.She needs money to survive and I don't expect to keep her around me. There are a lot of maids in here who can meet all my needs but then… I do not think they are worthy of my trust. So that's where she comes useful."Ma'am," She called out."Yes, you can stay," I gasp out then sighed."I can't stay here, ma'am. I need money," She argued."Money Is not the problem. I will pay you while you do some minor jobs for me. Let's just take it as our usual routine before I came here. I can't trust anyone in this palace and I've known you for a month now. Apart from Regina, you are the next person I
Alexandra's POV"We are here," Loren said as we entered the grandiloquent building. I couldn't help but gasp at how beautiful and luxurious it was.Is this really the place where my 'daughter' has been living? My eyes rolled at this but I still made sure to feast my eyes with everything I could see. I watched as the maids quickly take our luggages towards the Mansion and they all look so happy with their work "Woow," I gasped in disbelief. Don't tell me they are enjoying the luxury here?Hell yeah! It's better I stick to the deal and stay here forever but… I do not think the clean way is good."Ma'am, is there anything I can do? I mean, you asked me to come over leaving the house empty," a disturbing voice interrupted my inner happiness.I turned to stare dagger at the haggard looking maid I brought with me. If not that she was very good at her job and somehow, I just can't chase her too."What's that name of yours again?" I asked, making sure to sound demeaning."Willow" She said
