I hadn't realized just how loud silence could be until I married Cassian.

It lingered everywhere.

At breakfast. The hallways. Even in my studio.

It was deafening.

The garden didn't even feel comfortable for me anymore. It kept on reminding me of the last conversation we had. The place Cassian told me he loved me, where he kissed my forehead.

Now, the memory just haunted me.

The mansion was the same as it had always been, yet somehow, it still felt completely different.
