Chapter 12

SARAH

My eyes slowly fluttered open, a yawn escaping my parched lungs. My head felt like the weight of a dumbbell the moment I sat up on the bed, throbbing at the back, I guess I was having a migraine.

My vision was hazy so it took a while for it to adjust to my surroundings. As it unfolded, I slowly realised I was in my room.

How did I get here?

I was under the rain hours ago I presume. Did Emilio bring me in himself?

My eyes darted to the windows and it was still evident that the rain was still falling as it splattered across the closed windows.

My eyes then moved to the digital clock on the wall and the time got me shrieking. This was eight in the night.

Time really flew so fast. When I and Emilio came back it was still around noon though the rain made it seem like it was dusk.

Had I been standing under the rain from noon till dusk?

"Awww" I held onto my head, the migraine throbbing regardless.

My eyes moved around my dark room, fear creeping unto me for some reason.
