Chapter 5: Not A Cinderella

He never spoke to repeat himself and I remained confuse of his command.

“I... I thought I am here as a maid and nothing else?” I questioned.

His gray eyes morphed into icy ones as he bore them on me making my soul shrink and confidence reduced.

“You don't question your Alpha” he said.

Literally, I'm not even one of his pack members so his Alpha aura can't hurt me much but I wonder why I could feel it since morning.

“I bought you and you belong to me! Anything I command of you, you must do” he said in a calm but threatning tone.

I gripped my dress with both hands by my sides until they grew weak just like me. Is my cruel fate starting already?

“You are a maid and not a Cinderella poor thing.” he added as he strode to a chair and sat comfortably ready to feast on my fear and body. Is he worse than Axel? What plan has he got for me? My breath shakes as I slowly unzipped my dress.

I invoked as much submissiveness into my voice as I could muster in the hope that Alpha Klein would feel pity and forgive me for whatever crime I committed without knowing.

I could not do it so I stopped midway, oh no! The worst mistake ever. I see his lips compressed in a thin line, different from the straight face he had on this entire time. It might not look different but I could swear I saw the moment of this dangerous Alpha.

He stood up and yelled at me with rippling impatience “HOW DARE YOU?!”

With one long stride and a pull, he ripped the dress away from my body like it was nothing. I didn't see it coming and it feels as if my soul was ripped off, as if my skin was peeled off from my bones. My mother’s favorite dress.

Oh no. I sobbed as I went on my knees and picked it up to my chest.

Silent tears run down my cheeks as he slowly walked towards me. They came even faster when he arrived in front of me, his eyes devoid of emotion. Straight and icy.

“What were you hoping to gain by disobeying me Alpha Klein of Shadow pack?!” he growled.

No, I would never. I'm so sorry my lord” I said quickly pleading with tears. I learnt my first lesson the hard way.

How stupid of me to underestimate the dangerous Alpha that the whole town dreads of meeting. An encounter with him spells doom and darkness, my ignorance cost me my mother’s favorite dress.

“I'm so sorry Alpha, it was my mother’s favorite dress, the only thing I have left of her” I cried silently.

“Oh really?” he said in a sharp tone then snatched it from me.

Immediately his Beta came into view and he toss the dress to him. He just have called him with a mind link. “BURN IT!” he said.

My ears could not believe what just came out of his mouth. If I had met Alpha Klein before, I would say he dislikes me personally but I have never crossed path with him ever before. What wrong have I done in just a few hours of getting here.

I went against my father to get that dress safe till today, I can't give it up like that.

“Please Alpha, I beg of you” I pleaded again.

“Your father said punishment is the only way to get through you... Perhaps that might work for me” his voice came yet again I bothered with my pleas.

He gained distance on me and pushed me to the wall roughly with nothing on but my strapless bra and see through linen I had worn underneath the gown.

His grip on my neck tightened and I struggled with breathing. He was choking me so mercilessly but my frail hands are nothing compared to an Alpha’s hold.

He bit on his second hand and forced his blood into my mouth.

I struggled to break free but I only bruised my lips while he fed me his blood successfully to initiate me into the pack.

With that, I can hear whenever he talks to me through mindlink and I'll be submissive to his Alpha power.

With the dress gone, my semi naked flesh is visible to him and I felt embarrassed. I wanted to cover myself, but I couldn’t. His power as alpha vibrated around me immediately that I dare not disobey. He was forcing me to submit to his will, to the abuse he had in store for me.

“Interesting. You have no wolf yet like I presumed” he said with a smile.

I coughed and tears streamed down my face. If he's got old scores to settle with my pack, he should take that out on father instead! Why me?

“But do not worry. Once you get your wolf and I mark you, you will have no choice than to obey me.” He growled in my ears and loosened his grip on me.

I fell to the floor crying and coughing. I bet the bruises and marks I got from home was nothing compared to what I will experience here in this dangerous palace of his.

Mother are you watching me right now? What wrong have I done to deserve this? Please help me mother. Help me moon goddess.

I sobbed harder with the thought of father having a celebration with his new wife and stepson right now, over selling me for money.

I need to get mother’s dress back, I don't care if it's torn, I need to get it back!

I was about to stand up when an old woman appeared before me and weakly, I traced my eyes from her leather pair of shoes up to her white apron and then to her scrub by face.

My heart almost ran out of my chest to see an old woman with such a disgusted face. It’s like everyone here drank their Alpha’s blood.

No, I did too. They just happened to mirror the evilness of their Alpha.

“Follow me” she said to me without soaring further interested glance at my naked and blushed body.
