Marissa When the last lecture is over I stay back a few minutes to clear some questions about an upcoming paper we have. There are quite a few more students that stay to ask their own questions and soon the time is twenty minutes past five. Some of the questions I had have been answered since other students had the same questions. Marissa The ride back to the mansion is silent, as usual. Antonio whisk out his laptop and works on that and I stare out the window. From time to time he gently brushes his hand on my knee. The first time I pulled away but then he took hold of me instead, so I don’t pull away again. Marissa When I exit the bathroom Antonio is sitting on the bed. He has changed his button-up to a tight, white t-shirt that fits snugly on his lean but muscular body. When he hears me enter he turns to me with a smile on his lips. He is so handsome with his perfect face and intense dark eyes. Marissa In the next couple of weeks I fell into some kind of routine. Every morning I eat breakfast with Antonio, Luca, Stefano, Frederico and Samuel. I learn that Rico, Sam and Stefano are Antonio's closest guards. I also learn that there is always a team of four or five guards that follow along with me and Luca. They tend to keep out of sight mostly from me but I spot them at times when we walk between buildings or when we leave the premises of the campus. Marissa Thirty minutes later as we descend the stairs with my hand on Antonios arm, I see his family in the entrance hall removing their coats. Antonio The tears on Marissa's cheek break my heart. I have listened to every word my sister and mother have said. I know that they are true. If I had gone about this the normal way, I would have put both me and Marissa in danger. That is one of the reasons I took the road I did. I discussed my approach with my father several times before he passed away and left his empire for me to rule. We both agreed that this approach, though not perfect, was the safest. But the regret her tears bring is the most painful feeling I have had for a long time.
