Chapter Thirty Three

I didn't want to do this. Any of this but I had no choice. Beth and I were at the event planner's office talking about what we wanted for the wedding but of course I left it all to Beth because she was a woman and she knew all these things.

"I'm thinking we should do it in your hometown." Beth looked at me. "Don't you think so?".

I looked up at her from my phone. "My dad can't travel yet." I muttered.

"Have you asked him?".

"That's what the doctors said." I almost snapped at her. "You want a church wedding, that's what you're going to get."

She rolled her eyes at me and I rolled my eyes back at her then continued with what I was doing.

"We'll use Southern Sun Hotel and Suites for the reception." She told the woman. "It'll accommodate all our guests."

"How many people are coming exactly? I don't like the way you mentioned that word; guests." I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Thousands of people. My father's friends, my mother's friends. Family." She shrugged nonchalantly. "Senators and
