It was time to celebrate. Celebrate Aron and Ashley’s victory. They faced a lot of difficulties along the way but the only thing that mattered right now was that they won first place. Their friends decided to go to an amusement park for fun and had a special party arranged for them at their dorm later on. They took many rides and were now ready to take the Sky Wheel. Ashley had to go to the restroom so she excused herself but when she came back, the only person she saw standing in the line was Aron. All of their friends left these two alone so they could have some personal time to figure out what they actually mean to each other. Are they still rivals or is there scope of friendship between them.

“You don’t have to ride it if you’re not comfortable enough,” Aron says with concern.

“You think I am afraid of heights then you’re wrong Mr. Aron Chase,” Ashley proudly replies.

“After you Miss Ashley,” Aron makes way for Ashley and she hops into one of the cabins of the Sky Wheel. Aron smiles and follows her.

They reach at the top and the ride stops. Both of them have not said a word yet. Ashley breaks the silence and asks,

“Why did you take all the blame? It was my fault. I was the one to loose the USB.”

“Because I wanted to,” Aron replies which makes Ashley speechless.

“How was I supposed to let you have all the attention,” Aron says with a grin on his face.

“Now that’s the Aron I know,” Ashley chuckles and Aron smiles looking directly at her glowing face. The fireworks catch their attention and both of them just stare outside at the beautiful view. They don’t speak anything afterwards as it’s a moment to cherish and it’s a moment of peace for them.

Everyone’s packing their bags as it’s their weekend off and some of them are probably going to visit their hometown and some are traveling for fun. But some decided to stay at their dorm and enjoy their weekend there so they won’t get exhausted due to all the traveling. Ashley and Aron on the other hand hadn’t see their parents for months now. Things had been alright between them since their project together but now they had to go home which meant war. No matter how things were between them, at home they still had to pretend to hate each other.

“I am so proud of my girl! I knew you’d win. You’re project was amazing but I don’t know how that kid next door got first place as well,” Mr. Warner says as their having a dinner. Ashley and Aron didn’t tell their parents that it was their group project. It was unacceptable. They told them that somehow they both got first place. Ashley never questioned his father but something had changed. Ashley wanted to know why his father hated Aron’s father so much so she asked him for the very first time.

“Dad, why do hate Mr. Chase? What did he do to make you hate him this much?” Ashley asks and Mr. Warner’s hand that had a spoon in it a while ago had now become a fist.

“He betrayed me! He betrayed your father Ashley. And I know his son is just like him. I don’t want him to hurt you the way his father hurt me,” he says and Ashley can now see his father’s sorrowful face. It makes Ashley angry seeing her father like this makes her angry and the hatred that had been buried, blossomed again and it was more than ever.

On the other hand, Aron had asked his father the reason of their dispute multiple times but the only thing he heard from him was that Mr. Warner is a person that cannot be trusted. So he asked Aron to stay away from his daughter because she can’t be trusted as well.

Aron opened the window of his room to let fresh air in. She sees Ashley writing something down on her study table. Ashley sees Aron through her window and quickly closes the curtains in anger. Aron is left confused as he thought that things were alright between them and they just had to pretend in front of their parents but little did he know about the conversation Ashley just had with his father and how mad she was at herself as she was so close to hurting her father by getting close to the son of the man his father hates the most.

2 days later

They’re back again at the university. Aron saw Ashley and opened his mouth to say something but stopped when he saw that Ashley ignored his presence and walked past him like he’s a stranger. Aron didn’t try to talk to her after that. She knew that Ashley didn’t wanna talk as she was avoiding him more than ever now. She wasn’t coming to any party with Sarah as well and now Aron was the only one third wheeling between Sarah and Noah. Aaron was heartbroken because he thought that there was still a chance of them being friends but how could he think that it was possible as their fathers have been rivals for years.

The summer break was two weeks away. Aaron, Ashley and Greg were given permission forms to be signed by their parents. They were the top three students that were selected to attend the seminar in Singapore and six day trip to Turkey. Ashley was very happy as it was her dream to go to Turkey. This was the very first time she was going on a trip alone. She had never traveled alone and it was her first trip without her parents. Aaron and Ashley got their form signed from their parents but Greg wasn't able to go due to some issues. So now it was just Aron and Ashley, two rivals going on a trip together. What are the odds?

“Don’t let that kid next door spoil your trip. Enjoy your time there, Darling!” says Mr.Warner to her daughter.

“Roger that, Sir!” Ashley says and they both laugh at het silliness.

“Hey son! Don’t let that girl get to you, okay. Just have fun and explore as much as you can,” Mr. Chase says to Aron and hugs him.

Aron and Ashley’s parents say their final goodbyes. And now it’s time for them to discover the world on their own.
