ELENA"Damn girl! You killed it up there!" Skyler screeched as soon as I came down the stage. I swear this girl was always excited. "Eh.. Thank you?" They all chuckled at my response. What can I say ? I was really bad at receiving compliments. We made our way to the bar. "What can I get for the beautiful ladies here?" A bartender came up and winked at Skyler. "A round of shots, please." Bent's voice wasn't at all pleading. He was in fact glaring at him. "Coming up." He nervously smiled before getting our drinks. I gulped it down and scrunched my nose at the burning sensation in my throat. We got another round and I could slowly feel the buzz . Brent, Skyler and Hannah got up to get to the dance floor. I was about to when my phone beeped. It was a message from Anna. "Elena, come, let's get to the dance floor." Hannah tugged at my hand. "Coming in a minute. You guys go ahead." RYLAN I parked the car and got out to get to her side. She hadn't even taken her seat belt off.Without saying anything, I did it myself and supported her out of the car and into the house. ELENARolling over, I woke up on the bed. My head hammered against my skull. I pressed a hand to it and tried remembering what had happened but unfortunately that only increased the headache. I could remember going to the club, getting a few drinks and dancing but then how I landed up on my bed was a mystery to me. "Damn! How much did I drink ?" I closed my eyes to relieve some pain. "Probably a little too much. Take the pills with the lemon water. It'll help you with the hangover." Rylan walked in through the door in his sweats. He flashed me a smile and even through that pounding headache, I mentally appreciated the fine specimen of a man. "Did you bring me home?" I asked after swallowing down the medicine. “Don't you remember anything?" He asked, sitting down beside me. "Seems like it." I ran a hand through my messy hair. "How can you just forget everything after what happened last night!?" He looked hurt which left me confused. Why will he be hurt?

RYLAN"Make these changes and bring them back to me. And don't forget to reschedule the meeting with Mr. Rivera." I handed my new assistant the file before leaning back in my seat. RYLAN"I want to meet our daughter." Immediately I felt the anger rising in me. "Excuse me?" I shot up from my seat, ready to throw her out of my office. "There is no such thing as 'our daughter'." ELENA"Bye, Mom!" I hung up and sighed. Everytime I talked to mom and dad, some part of me felt guilty about having the thing about our marriage hidden. Initially I had thought that after the one year would be over, I would let them know everything. Now that things had changed completely, I didn't know how to come clean. I put the phone to charge before remembering that I hadn't seen Ava for some time now. It was a Saturday, so obviously we were at home but not Rylan. He had some meetings. Deciding to check up on Ava, I made my way to her room. I stopped at her door and watched her as she struggled with her hair. Each time her attempt would fail, she would let out a huff.
