Something In His Touch

Adonis POV 🇬🇷 "What in the heavens is wrong with you?" Father spat. I could feel his anger from across the desk that separated us. Quite frankly, that was the question I was still trying to find answers to. What the hell was wrong with me?  "This is the sixth time you are doing this! Are you insane? Don't you know how to control your urges? How old are you? You think the company is a joke, or don't you know what is at stake here?" He raged on. There was nothing I could say or do other than keep my head low. I hated confrontations more than anything, so I'd rather shut my mouth and get it over with. I noticed arguing with humans never resulted in any positive results, so what was the use of trying to defend myself when I'd end up looking like a fool? The politics, the secrets, the drama! I was physically ready for all of it, because it was just like watching a drama on the television. I thought all these things only happened on tv, but I was offered a front roll ticket to everything, including the actors.I tucked a stray braid behind my ears, wiped imaginary dust from my black skirt, then made my way into the building.   I smirked at the receptionist I met yesterday as I made my way to the elevator. The shock on her face was the highlight of my morning. Why did she look so surprised though? And
