Chapter: 1

The jawline looked sharp from the side where Tania was standing, she stared at the man she didn't recognize.

For a moment Tania thought the young man was crying and venting. The sadness was crystal clear when he was engraving words on the narrow alley wall.

Tania watched the corner of the stranger's lips lifted, a bitter smile on his face as the tip of the screwdriver touched the wall and engraved words.

The man's hand continued to thicken the engraving as if he wanted the writing to penetrate the wall and never disappear.

Krit krit

The sound made teeth ache, Tania suddenly remembered the words of Mrs Fania; people around here continued to complain about disturbing voices and writings decorated with colourful paint all over in this area.

The suspect had never been caught or even seen on CCTV.

The problem began a few months ago, people thought it was the behaviour of children who entered the elite residential area but until now no one had been caught.

The young man turned to the mouth of the alley, Tania cursed herself for staring too hard.

Both were silent for a moment, staring at each other as if time stopped and the earth rested for a moment.

DEG.

At a glance, Tania felt herself in a black-and-white film, complete with mellow background music. The bang of a musical instrument, the piano being played, the violin, the melodic sound swept away the two.

Be still, be right there, destiny gotta bring us together.

'That guy was handsome, oh dear!' was the first thing that crossed Tania's brain, even though there were far more important things to realize.

The young man has no shadow.

Her heartbeat fast and her whole body trembled, the hair on the back of her neck stood up but fear was not the cause.

Tania was a brave child, she was not afraid of weak ghosts like that young man. But she began to feel strange when her pinky finger was twitching as if there was a metal rope that was binding and pulling her closer to the stranger.

Realizing what was happening, Tania immediately looked away. Feeling her cheeks starting to heat up, she stopped her mind by fixing the position of her baby-blue backpack on her shoulder.

As fast as possible, she stepped toward the nearest bus stop without turning back.

When she said that breaking eye contact was not difficult, believe her. She never regretted doing such impolite behaviour.

Only this time it was strange, for a moment Tania felt sorry for turning her face away from the beauty of the man she had just stared at earlier.

Black with slight brownish hair colour.

Tania could feel the sadness clearly in the narrow eyes. Her heart seemed to whisper to return, but the young girl's logical sense won over her.

She had gone far enough and the bus stop was visible in her eyes, Tania heaved a sigh of relief. Although the relief did not last long.

When he realized her body was still shuddering, it only meant one thing. This would be a big problem, she noted it mentally inside her head.

She shouldn't have stopped and watched the man as he moved the pointed screwdriver to write on the wall earlier.

"It's not my fault that I am attracted to handsome men..."

Tania was truly sorry to herself when she turned her head back, looking over her shoulder and finding the man following her to the bus stop.

She was even sorrier when the young man walked through without having to pay. A freaking privilege for a ghost.

Needless to say, the man stepped in casually.

Tania stood on one side of the bus, her eyes met the other's eyes, ghostly paleness standing out from the man standing right in front of her.

'It's better to just ignore him,' thought the girl silently while turning her body, looking in the other direction except at the handsome ghost.

The method should be effective to avoid problems. Supposed to be.

"Stop now," she grumbled quietly, not wanting to attract the attention of the bus that was constantly moving.

Tania who initially thought to ignore the young man finally gave up a few minutes later to the idea.

Just you think, what kind of a ghost began to sing next to her ear, tapering fingers continued to play the tip of Tania's hair. The sad singing voice in Tania's ears stopped.

"So you really can hear me ..." the ghost replied in disbelief, his voice right behind Tania's place.

She really wanted to say it out loud, for the man to just stop.

So that the ghost who had just been singing in his deep baritone voice (he looked at Tania innocently as Tania struggled so hard to ignore the pretty voice) to go far away.

However, based on her experience so far, it has only attracted public attention. Makes them think Tania is a stressed girl who talks to the empty air.

Not to mention those who were invisible to normal eyes are aware that she could see them, instead of solving problems, they create new problems.

After taking a deep breath, Tania turned her head. Looking over his shoulder at the two eyes that looked excited, different from the sad eyes in the darkness of the narrow alley earlier. Tania much preferred these exciting looking eyes rather than the previous eyes.

"Yes, I can," continued Tania, she didn't back down or even blinked when the ghost suddenly disappeared and appeared right in front of her.

Approaching and stopping when their faces were less than ten centimetres apart, it seems that this ghost didn't know what personal space was.

The ghost only blinked a few times before stepping back. He leaned against the door of the bus opposite Tania and gave a smile that made Tania think, what a bad thing she had done until God brought her to meet this handsome young man but was in a different world from her.

Ironic.

This ghost was really handsome. What a waste.

Tania hoped she would meet a cute boy but at last, made him a human first before anything else.

The girl couldn't stop thinking 'what a waste.

A man as handsome as him died at a very young age, probably the same age as Tania when he died.

His eyes gave off a sharp and intimidating impression even though he was smiling, a smile that seemed mischievous and cold, both hands tucked into the pockets of a black leather jacket.

Truly a bad boy figure that can be found in the favourite k-pop magazines or music videos of today's teenagers.

Why am I talking like an Old Lady...

"Oh, don't tell me you can see me too?" he said in awe, realizing that Tania's eyes were watching him from head to toe, his eyebrows raised.

Tania could sense a glimpse of joy and perhaps hope in the man's eyes.

Tania nodded slightly in response, ignoring the embarrassment creeping on her spine as the ghost boy caught her red-handed staring from head to toe.

For a girl, checking a man out like a predator, Tania was so shameful. The young man smiled wider and his eyes formed a perfect crescent.

"Cool," he replied as he lowered the hood of the white hoodie under his leather jacket.

Tania raised her eyebrow, already feeling suffocated with the boy's outfit.

Who the heck wears that thick-looking hoodie plus a black leather jacket?

The city where they live was extremely hot, not to mention the torn jeans, which are also black. The boy might get sunburnt if he was alive. Could it be that he died of heatstroke?

"Yeah, now tell me why you keep following me?" Tania asked sarcastically.

If a ghost could get to her this close, then it could be guaranteed that the ghost was not an evil spirit.

Normally, a low-level evil spirit would immediately bounce away when approaching Tania.

Her energy should be enough to shoo them away, she trained for it!

So he must be a good spirit who is still tied to worldly affairs and needs help or worst case, he was a high-level evil spirit that Tania couldn't get rid of easily. He prayed that the latter would not be true.

"Because it's convenient," the man replied simply, "being around you makes me feel comfortable."

"Comfortable?" This time it was Tania's turn to raise her eyebrows.

That was new.

This was the first time a ghost has said that being near Tania was comfortable.

"Yes, comfortable. Your surroundings seem to shine and feel comfortable to me," the man nodded innocently.

Tania cursed herself for failing to focus and instead watched the man closely.

He watched the man down to the details of the wound on the corner of his lips that seemed new on the handsome face.

Comfortable?

If he said that Tania's aura was dazzling it might be true. Tania often heard that from the ghosts across from her house but was it comfortable?

Never in his life, during these sixteen years, anyone said her aura made them comfortable.

Could it be this ghost want to eat me-

No Stupid girl! Only a demon could eat someone's energy like that! Remember your lesson!

This man didn't seem like a demon, only a normal ghost.

"You must leave immediately," she said with a calm voice.

The ghost stepped in front of Tania while tilting his face, "why should I?" he asked in a teasing tone and smile.

"Because being followed by a freaking ghost it's not fun," answered Tania quickly, not giving the other man a chance to reply.

Tania immediately stepped to the exit when the bus officer said the bus had arrived at its intended destination.

Tania moved to one side to avoid bumping with the ghost.

She knew it wouldn't be easy to make this stubborn ghost leave her, not after he knew Tania could perfectly see and hear him.
