My groans reverberated through the room as I buried myself further under the covers, desperately clinging to the remnants of sleep. I feel so tired. Is it possible to feel tired after sleeping for more than ten hours? My phone beeped again, making me curse the device’s existence. I reluctantly reached for my phone and squinted at the screen and saw my brother Atul’s name on the screen.

“Hello, bubbles,” Atul’s deep voice greeted me over the phone.

“Why are you calling me early in the morning on a Sunday, Bhai (brother)? That is virtually illegal. I can report you to the sleep monsters,” I whined and tried to cuddle back to Xander’s pillow, inhaling his scent like a weirdo.

“It is ten in the morning in the USA. Maa will kick your ass if she hears that you are still sleeping,” he chuckled.

“Yeah, she needs to come to the USA just to kick my ass,” I said.
