Chapter 07 - More Than Friends Or…?

“You read my note.” I said and bit my lips, feeling shy as to why I said that and why I wrote a note in the first place.

We both had stopped dancing, but our hands were still together, his arm still around my waist, and my other hand still on his shoulder. He let go of my hand to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear and he stared deeply into my hazel eyes. I could feel my chest pounding, if I can try to make my heart stop beating so fast and loud, I would because I’m embarrassed to think he could feel it skipping a beat, considering how close our bodies are.

Without saying anything, he let go of me and took a few steps back, distancing himself. I, on the other hand, remained frozen. “Do you, uh, do you want to go inside?” He stuttered, I just nodded as a reply.
