Chapter 7 Use Her Identity to Pressure Her

Mariana quickly followed her, and after exiting the gate, they stood in a small clearing beside the gate.

"Mariana, you really know how to pick your timing. Do you come here on purpose to make things difficult for me?" Tia snapped, her eyes filled with disdain. "Don't you know that today is my birthday? Look at how many celebrities have come here, yet you just showed up, dressed like a beggar. Are you trying to let people know that I have such an embarrassing sister? What a disgrace you are!"

Tia just called her a beggar and a disgrace. Mariana remained calm upon hearing such harsh words, yet her eyes did grow colder and colder.

"Well, if you don't want me to embarrass you more, give me what I want and I'll leave at once."

"After all these years, who knows if that pile of junk is still there? You want me to help you find it? I don't have the time. Can't you see that I have all these guests to attend to?" Tia crossed her arms in front of her chest with an impatient look on her face. Even if she had the time, she wouldn't help Mariana, either.

"I won't leave unless I get it," Mariana said firmly, her voice sharp. Last time, she was kicked out of the country and didn't have the time to collect those things. Now that she returned, she would definitely take away what her mother had left behind, at any cost.

"Ah, are you threatening me? Mariana, things are different now. Keep your eyes open and see who I am. For someone as humble as you, you don't even deserve to be my servant. How dare you yell at me? I can just let the bodyguards throw you out like trash, OK?"

Tia had a ton of reasons for hating Mariana. Yet now, it was more of what happened five years ago than the rest.

Back then, she wanted to snap Mariana's photo after she was insulted by a man. Yet she never expected to be reached by Bernard, who later made her career more than promising.

She knew the one who really had sex with Bernard McFarland was Mariana, not her. She was afraid that Mariana might lead to the exposure of the truth as well as cause her to lose everything she had now.

'It's been years, and she's become even more annoying,' thought Mariana.

"I don't care who you are. I just want my things back." Mariana's beautiful face was filled with anger. Those things belonged to her mother and were left for her. They were extremely precious, and she definitely could not afford to lose them.

Just as Tia wanted to mock her ruthlessly, she suddenly caught sight of a luxurious car outside the door. Her eyes glowed with joy.

Bernard just showed up.

'What a pleasant surprise!' Tia was overjoyed.

Tia quickly scanned Mariana, her face shifting from anger to smugness.

"I know where your trash is, but I don't wanna return it to you. I could have let you get away if you had never shown up, yet you did. Suddenly, all the terrible things you did flooded into my mind. How can I just forgive you? Mariana, I want to strangle you to death, yet you told me that you wanted to take something from my house? Bah, no way. Tomorrow, I will put a torch on that dead woman's stuff and burn it all..."
