Chapter 4

"Tita A-Aurora?"

That's my initial reaction. How big is the possibility that I will meet the person that I ran away from yesterday? The sole reason why I needed to breathe out all my anger and the reason why I got a fever and the reason why I broke my phone... wait.

I just used my phone a while ago. It looked exactly like the one I thew yesterday, how come I was able to use it again earlier? With that thought, I ran back to the room where I came from and checked the phone I used to text Shein. It wasn't mine. Its case doesn't look green, it was painted with minimalistic jet black.

If this phone isn't mine, then whose phone is it?

"It's mine," someone from the door suddenly entered, Allistair.

If it's him, then how come my sister's number is saved in it?

"If you're wondering why you were able to send a message to your younger sister using my phone. That's probably because I inserted your SIM card in it. Don't look at me that way. I don't date younger fellas. I'm not a pedo," he snickered.

I only shrugged my shoulders, still speechless. But wait, "why did you insert my SIM card into your phone?"

I'm curious as to why the hell would he do that? Is he letting me borrow his phone because he's a pure gentleman or maybe, Ma'am Aurora is behind it again? This forsaking piece of momma's man, tsk!

"I don't know what kind of freaky thing is running to your head right now, but in case, just in hell's case, you're speculating why I did that risky move, I did that because I'm a gentleman."

He boasted with both of his arms crossed in his chest.

"Op-op! You're not my dear. Don't believe that man, Karina. I ordered him to give his phone to you since he's there and he witnessed how pitiful your phone's situation had become. So, yeah he wasn't a gentleman. To tell you honestly, he even thought of waking you up and letting you walk home late last night."

I knew it. I had this gut telling me that this multi-billionaire doesn't have a single nerve of being a man in his whole rich physique.

This should be recorded. This is one of those moles I'm looking for. Sadly, I don't have any recording tool or notepad with me. Never mind, I'm gonna pin this to the top of all my memories for this day.

I'll just type it later on my journalist laptop.

"Mom, that's enough. She's still a news reporter, a paparazzi to be exact. Don't share too much information and be shocked when you see it in tomorrow's new article on the Hot's List.

"Hey! I'm not like that!" I defended myself.

I'm telling the truth though. I know the thin line between the things that need to be kept secret and the things that should be broadcasted publicly.

I don't just publish articles recklessly. I won't last long in this kind of industry if I don't know the simple dos and don'ts. I won't be a team archer journalist if I don't know the simplest limitations that are there.

"Yeah, yeah whatever," he didn't bother listening and just left the room.

That guy, so arrogant, tss!

I thought that his mother left the same time he did, but I prayed really that she just did because she didn't. The bravery and confidence of this should be awarded.

"What happened last night, ija? Did I hear from Argus that you dropped the call while talking to him? Did something happen?" she asked.

There she goes again, putting her nice woman card on the desk between the two of us. I want to answer her questions honestly like; yes, I dropped the call with your rightful and decent secretary last night. Not only that, I dropped my phone too! That's because maybe, you're too nice and the heavens rewarded you by punishing me. The rain poured over my tired body and it wrecked my phone!

But I won't. She's too nice to be talked to the way I'm thinking inside this stupid head of mine. Honestly, I'm still not in the right state of mind to just disregard the fact that I'm inside the house of the billionaire I've been stalking for the past months.

It felt like, all of the hardships that I planted are now growing and waiting for me to sow things the right way.

Also, I thought that because of this woman I lost track of Allistair once again, but come to think of it again, she's the sole reason why I threw a tantrum on the street last night. I threw a useless tantrum and because of that a billionaire got bothered and stooped by.

It happened to be the that billionaire I'm about is her son, and her son is the great Allistair Montero that I've been stalking.

So, to sum it all up, this woman isn't a witch in disguise, but rather an angel in disguise. She just granted one of my biggest wishes.

That is to meet his not so handsome--just kidding--son.

"Ija?" She caught my attention once more.

It seemed like I stared at her for so long and let my thoughts go daydream again.

"S-Sorry, ma'am. I was just shocked." I didn't know that you'd be the golden carpet ready for me to walk on towards the hidden door directing to your son's hidden palace.

"Shocked about what? Seeing my son, or seeing me as his mother, since it looked like you didn't want to entertain me yesterday?"

Honestly? Both. I was shocked that both of them are related and at the same time I was elated by the fact that the son she wanted me to meet last night was her blessed son of all sons existing in this current century.

"Just the fact that your son is Allistair."

"Oh, don't worry. The two of you are to be wed soon."

Wait, what?
