“Axel, what are you standing there for? Hurry up and catch this murderer! Don’t let her run!” Enna’s voice rang from behind me.

Axel heard Enna’s order and quickly stepped forward to block me. “Wendy, right? You killed someone and still want to run?”

I was speechless. I frowned, glanced at the lake coldly, and said, “Go save Mary now—there’s still time. If you block me, she’ll drown. Then tell me, who will be the real murderer?”

Though my voice was low, it carried a strong aura that made Axel hesitate and instinctively want to step aside.

But Enna snorted coldly and stopped him, “Axel, don’t listen to her. Both of us saw with our own eyes that she pushed Mary into the water. Even if something happens to Mary, the murderer is her, not us! Stop her from running, I’m calling the police right now.”

(Wendy’s POV)I stood quietly, watching it all unfold.Faced with Bruce’s accusations, Bonnie was thrown into a panic.“No, Bruce, listen to me, I don’t even know him!” she stammered desperately.“Baby, how can you say that?” The stranger leisurely rose from the sofa, not the least bit bothered by his nakedness. “Didn’t you tell me you loved me to death? That I was your mate chosen by the Moon Goddess herself? You begged me in tears to complete the bond with you.”Oh? What a performance. It looked like Rina paid him quite a hefty sum.Since he didn’t know me, he naturally assumed Bonnie was the woman in question. Which only made him double down on the act. He slung an arm around Bonnie’s shoulders.“Come on, sweetheart, don’t be shy. We’re all adults here. What’s wrong with a little pleasure? There’s nothing shameful about it.”

(Wendy’s POV)The night was quiet, the kind that made people feel at ease.I stood on the second-floor balcony, leaning against the railing, gazing up at the stars. My thoughts drifted far away.Nick dancing with Rina… what does that have to do with me?So why does it bother me so much inside?A cool breeze swept past, and I shivered slightly. Just as I was about to head back to the banquet hall, a female voice rang out:“Wendy, so here you are. I’ve been looking all over for you.”I frowned and turned. It was a blonde, blue-eyed mixed-race woman—Bonnie. The memory of the unpleasant incidents with her earlier flashed in my mind, and wariness instantly tightened in my chest.I cast her a cool glance. “What do you want?”“Yes,” Bonnie walked toward me, carrying a tray with two glasses of red wine. She picked one up and held it out to me. “Miss

(Rina’s POV)Their hushed, intimate whispers fell right into Rina’s eyes.“Rina, look at Wendy—she’s such a natural at seducing men. No wonder Alphas like her type,” Amy muttered jealously at her side.Rina gripped her glass of red wine, glaring daggers at Wendy. “Hmph. Isn’t she good at seducing men? Tonight, I’ll make sure she pays for it.”“You mean…” Amy’s eyes lit up, curiosity mixing with eagerness.Rina leaned closely, whispering her scheme into Amy’s ear. When she pulled back, she let out a cold snort. “The little gift I’ve prepared for Wendy tonight will make sure she suffers.”Amy’s eyes sparkled with admiration. She gave Rina a thumbs-up. “Rina, you’re brilliant! That way, Wendy gets punished, and no one will trace it back to us.”“Of course,” Rina said smugly.“As lon

(Wendy’s POV)Daphne was now surrounded by pointing fingers and flashing cameras, reporters crowding her with questions:“Miss Reed, why did you plagiarize? How do you feel now that the original creator has exposed you in front of everyone?”Her face was stormy. “Sorry, I’m not giving interviews!” she snapped, shoving reporters aside as she tried to leave. But just then, a sharp, commanding voice rang out—“Stop!”I turned toward the sound. On the stage, the man who held everyone’s attention had suddenly stood up, striding forward with calm, unshakable steps.Nick.His cold, razor-sharp gaze locked on Daphne. “Miss Reed,” he said, his tone cutting through the hall, “after smearing Brown Pack out of thin air, do you really think you can just walk away?”The sheer dominance radiating from him made Daphne flinch and take a step back. “
