Chapter Forty-Six: Wrongly accused

Lucas had been in the bathroom for what seemed like an hour. It's like he didn't want to leave knowing I was still in his room. I exited the room and went for my clothes outside that were dry and return to the room. As I did the bathroom door was opened, Lucas wasn't there. I looked through the window wondering where he was and there, I saw him leaving. I stared at him sadly hating that he was avoiding me and started to fold my clothes placing them back into the closet he and I shared. After I was through, I went downstairs and sat on the porch waiting for him. Mr. Rowan looked at me while returning inside the house, he laughed at me as he did. I rolled my eyes irritated by him. I hated him.

For hours I have been sitting on the porch until the place had started to lose its light. Still, I didn't move I was very worried about Lucas, wondering where he could have been.
