Chapter 50: 'Hey Rum, nice outfit man.'

Rum took a longer time than usual.

At times like this, I’ll think of Annie and the training that she put me through. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have the patience of a stone.

Waiting for a high profile celebrity like Rum requires the same patience as Earth has in baking a lump of fossil. I’m glad that I have at least a quarter of that—or I would’ve long been fired.

When he finally emerged, in a black T-shirt and rose gold-coloured sweatpants, I thought he looked like an angel.

“Let’s go.” He sauntered past me.

“Are you sure this is OK?” I blurted, feeling guilty and unsure.

He halted and turned back, his brows knitted in confusion until his gaze dropped down to his off-job outfit. “This?” He looked at me.

I nodded. “I mean, you’ve never worn black before… much less rose gold.”
