Chapter 4: Stranded.

Lena ran through the dark alleys of Willow, the slums, clutching the gemstone in her hand. She had managed to make it out alive from the security guards and the maniac.

"I made it!" Lara wheezed.

Apart from the bruises and cuts on her body, she was unscathed. She had done it. She had pulled off the heist of the century.

Without further ado, she headed straight to Fox's base. She knew he would be waiting for her, eager to see the prize she had risked her life for. She hoped he would reward her well, maybe even cut off all her five years of service. But was just wishful thinking.

Lena reached the door of the base, a rundown warehouse that looked like any other in Willow. She knocked three times, then twice, then once, the secret code that only Fox's trusted members knew. The door opened and she stepped inside.

"You're back." The guard grunted and led her to Fox's den.
